Girlfriend went to get prescriptions. Few hours post op and I couldn't resist building it

Shhhhh

I just placed an order for the GEM TI.

I've read a couple reviews of how it trumps other tanks such as the E-Phoenix Hurricane or the Kayfun V4 or even the SquapeR's and the Taifuns. Is it really that good?

I have a 1:1 hurricane clone that's actually made from better steel than the original, an authentic taifun gt2 , GP HnP v2 (heron v2) , piccoloid , 1:1 kayfun 4 clone, phenomenon lite

The gem gives the best flavor probably tied with the piccoloid. M

It's that good. That's why after I traded my second gem for some stuff I decided to get a ti version as its my favorite I may as well get and keep two of them.

It can be a bit finicky but when it's built right imo is the best flavor available. Some people say there are better. Well I've tried most of the good ones and I haven't found it.

I wicked the ti like I wick for temp
Control with a lot more cotton than the original and so far it seems to be wicking way better

I used a 7 wrap 2.5mm coil with 28 kanthal which comes out to 1 ohm right now. It's working like a boss.

It's a bit louder than the OG. More sizzle and pop because I can use more
Cotton. The design does bring out the sizzle of eliquid.

Love it. And @qorax was right in person it looks better on the wae ii than pictures.

Afc is definitely tighter. I don't see anything different with the fill o rings. I must be missing it. Too looks identical. I'll double check later to make sure it's a ti top cap. Lighting is too dim now. Chimney is one piece it seems.

First impressions. It's like a gem but better. Expensive piece but for me if I spend even $1000 on gear and I never smoke again I'm fine with that.

Got my GEM-Ti today, ordered late night on the 28th. With free shipping, you just can't beat that, hats off to Mark Bugs for getting it here so quickly. Thought i might take a leaf out of @h00ligan's book and build it tonight, but just sat admiring it, on top of my WAE II. Will build it to see the New Year in :)

I don't really know about that. I have 3 Squape Rs's, a Kayfun V4, a Hurricane and I just recieved my MB Gem today. All of these are authentic. Right now, here's how I'd rate them:
Performance
1. Squape Rs
2. MB Gem
3. Hurricane
4. Kayfun V4

Appearence
1. Gem
2. Gem
3. Gem
4. Gem

I wouldn't at all be surprised if you came back in a couple weeks after tweaking wicking and the gem went to the top

Flavor change can be quite extreme based on wicking. Even if it's wicking well (which the ti model seems to all the time try a bit less and a bit more and see what happens to the flavor !

".... if I spend even $1000 on gear and I never smoke again I'm fine with that."

ha, does anyone else see the hilarity in this statement? :D
??? Enlighten me as to why that's funny? I'm just saying in the last 18 months I've spent margins nly more than I did on cigarettes. But no longer smoking and my long term health is worth easily ten times the cost of smoking. I personally never quit for more than a year in 22 years until vaping became good.

Do you consider vaping smoking? I spent about $200 a month on smoking. I have a few authentics and a lot
Of inexpensive or clones. That probably come to about $1100 and I've probably spent $1000-1500 on juice. So he first year is mostly a break even. Next year when I quit buying mods mostly it will be a substantial savings. If I stopped vaping now I break even more or less on the yearly cost and avoid the cost of you know. Trying to beat cancer and living with emphysema

So I don't get it. Unless you equate vaping to smoking. Which it isn't.

there are sleek bottom feeders. here's a chalice with 8.5 ml's on board. flavor and vapor wise, it at least matches the gem at it's best and honestly, in most cases it actually blows it away because again, always a perfect fully saturated wick, unaffected by vacuum, wicking and feeding issues, so 20, 30, 40 watts or whatever is no problem.

ha, h00ligan I wasn't picking on you, it's just that for some here, when they really get into this "hobby", spending "up to" a grand is almost a joke, as the grands can just keep flying out, over and over again :) no slight intended towards you at all :)

that's a mod build by a user here, custom classic, search custom classic cc mod :)

Oh ok. I get it. It's a lot to me because I've been functionally disabled for the last two years. So I feel bad spending on mods and such as a result. I do agree a grand isn't that much. But I don't buy a huge collection of authentic tics. Once I know I have things better than other things. I tend to consider selling. That said I may be missing out because I know some atomizers work better with some types of Jude's while others fit other kinds of juices. So I need to be ,ore Theroux. I may find the gem is great for my dessert vapes but the heron v2 is good for ry4 or fruits

Where I've really WASTED a ton of money is juices. I've blind ordered so many from the internet that are just awful. So now when I juice shop if a company doesn't have a sampler pack or size and sell in bulk I won't even bother as I can't afford to pay $1/ml for juice. The juices are the only regret I have really. But I'll send all those tk friends tk try. Maybe they'll like them.

I'm ,icky that I was successful at quite a young age so these back injuries haven't sent me destitute - but one must still be aware of budget :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

On another note, I got my TI Gem today, I am soaking in in warm soapy water at the moment, so I have not built it yet, I look forward to it though. :)

KAS
Believe me, it's worth the wait. As a pointer, watch @qorax's review and build of the GEM. Follow that and you won't go far wrong - instant flavour!!

Loving the GEM Ti, soooo damn light I can't beleive it.

I'm thinking of selling the SS model to fund another Ti before they're all gone.

Thanks again for all you do Q! And a big thanks to markbugs for these amazing pieces.

PS Happy New-Year everyone, hope you all have a safe and awesome night!!

Every RTA can be setup with mesh brother.
So how do you setup something like a kayfun which requires feeding from below if the mesh is horizontal? Do you run cotton off the side of he mesh to the channels? I'm assuming the mesh can't really be creased to make it a rift angle to
Go down to the feeding channels

Happy new year all. Please be safe tonight. Take a cab or walk if you're drinking. And watch out for others who are either drunk or not
Paying enough attention!

See you all next year and I'll
Close out by saying a big thanks to all in this thread. And especially @qorax for always taking the time for Conversation and the videos you do.
