RE: My browser time-outs, attempting to load the ELA thread.

Today, my internet connection is a little better. I am able to load the ELA thread, if I do it in linear mode. Yesterday, I could only load it in mobile mode. That was just yucky! My preferred mode, is hybrid. What mode do you guys normally use?
Linear, oldest first, 40/page, sigs off, pics on, social buttons off, invisible.

Well I had a pretty crappy night....... Literally, crappy plunger, crappy new plunger. Had to get out shoulder high gloves and get in there with a wire hanger. Almost 2 hours later, bottle of alchohol, can of lysol, half a bottle of pinesol , more alchohol, shower. Im pooped out:)
The stories I could tell.
One thing I lived with, grew accustomed to, and now fondly miss was what was known as "Poop Wars".

I will get used to the linear. The hybrid made it easier for this old stroke brain, to figure out who was talking to who, and about what. Particularly, when I started in here, and had 'no clue' what anyone was talking about. It is all easier now. I know you guys, and I have a better handle on the subject matter.

You should tell! :)
Okay, here's one.
My son had quite the sense of humor. He loved to laugh at his own jokes, just like me.
One time we were doing our thing, just hanging out around the house. I was in the kitchen and had set my coffee cup down at the end of the island near where he played on the computer. I was doing stuff and came back for a swig of coffee. It didn't taste right, so lo and behold I looked down to see a little turd about the size of a quarter floating in it. He was grinning, I laughed my ... off.

My ELA flat bottom arrives tomorrow. So does my new HTPC keyboard. :)

I wish it were illuminated, but I'm hoping my ability to touch-type will make that not important. Other than tiny little phone-sized keyboards and very expensive industrial keyboards, there seem to be no consumer-grade keyboards anywhere that have a wireless connection, illumination and a touchpad. I suppose the Logitech diNovo Edge comes close, if you consider that weird circle jog dial thing to be a touch pad; but the diNovo Edge is still terribly expensive. I think it's too wide to fit in my home theater seat's armrest storage compartment, anyway. The company who makes the keyboard I am getting tomorrow has announced one with backlighting and inductive charging, but its release has been pushed back due to production problems.

First world problems, I know.

I have been a bit 'under the weather' lately. I was sitting here, feeling real darn crappy. And then.....

I get an email from Super-T. Somebody, by the name of Anonymous, sent me a very generous gift certificate.

Anonymous: Thank you for putting a smile on my face, for warming my heart, and for lifting my spirits.

Thank you for thinking about me..... Believe me, you may not know, that is huge!!

This is a good place, with good people. Family........ :)

How 'bout another Poop War to keep the party rollin'?

Some time around when my kid was four or five he and I had had a fight about something. He was really mad at me. His whole life he would steal stuff and hide it for various reasons, joke, anger, OCD, whatever. For several days after our fight I couldn't find my car keys. I looked everywhere, and everywhere. Col was the obvious culprit. I Turned the house upside down. Finally I took the extra step and started searching out in the yard, sqaure foot by square foot.

He had taken my keys out in the back yard and pooped on them.

Good for you! That's because you are always cheerful and nice to people. See what happens when you are nice to people? I should try that some time. My grandma yelled at me the other day and one thing lead to another and I punched her in the throat. I bet if I was nicer to her when I was sneaking into her house at 2 am, she wouldn't have tried to tazer me and I wouldn't have had to punch her in the throat to keep her from tazering me and calling the cops. It wasn't like I was stealing anything, I just left my Nintendo DS and wanted it back.

Your 'creative' thoughts and words always make me smile. :)
