The first setup I made, 5 minutes after I have received, took me 5 minutes and it still working great. The second line I have not been able to get it correct. Same setup, mesh all good, no shorts but no consistent way of getting the ohm right. I have no patience anymore for today. One line is working with .20 Kanthal. At least something...I don't give up but will wait for others to report back that they have the greatest flavor ever and the setup is stable as a rock on a Provari.

Guys I just did a coil still messing around with it and did three wraps, two coils visible on one side and three on the other. I think I just found my sweet spot. Im running it like that on my silver bullet and my own made mod. Just throwing it out there if someone wants to give it a try. I'm using 32 ga kanthal.

I made the same coil earlier and actually got 1.5 ohm finally.

Wow, three wraps for me is less than 1ohm. 1ohm at 3.7v is 3.7 amps and 13.69 watts. That burns my juices. I do better with 2.5ohms at 5v for 10 watts with 8 wraps of 32 kanthal.

Are you sure? Because the whole wick burns red hot and when it's submersed in water, it's going to get soaked through, so I don't see why only the outer layer would get oxidized.

On another note, how do you guys check the ohms? I've tried two different meters, touching each wire and also each post, and I can't get a solid reading.

The 30,000 ft test today. As the cabin pressure passed thru 5,000 ft the juice started oozing out thru the wick. This caused by the pressure being greater in the small tank than the outside pressure in the aircraft's cockpit. At 30,000 ft, 8000ft cabin pressure, 1/3 of the juice had oozed out. Back to bonuts for cockpit vaping....

As a workaround, you could start off with an empty Line. If you wait to fill it till pressure altitude has stabilized, it shouldn't leak back out of the Line. I could be wrong though..... it wouldn't be the first time :)

I ck at the connecter, that's what the batteries will read.
Oxidation is a very thin delicate coating and can rub off. Just separating coils with a toothpick can cause a short. To get some oxidizing inside it is important to wet the wick before the first burn and even then in my experience the inside of the wicks still conduct, that's why on metal tanks you cut the wicks so they don't touch the bottom.
