Will do! Sorry for my radio silence. My computer does not want to play well with my folks' wireless network, so I've hijacked my mother's laptop for the evening. So, my time online between now and Christmas Day (when I drive back to GA) will be spotty at best.

Damn thing won't even let me get signed onto the guest account, or become part of her home network, even though I've got her laptop beside me with the security key displayed to make sure I'm entering it correctly. No go. And honestly, other than being annoying, I'm not killing myself to try to make it work for a few days.

Hope everyone is having a great week. My week started out awful, with a trip to the ER for the DBF Saturday night....2 times, actually. First time he didn't want to be admitted, so they let him leave after 2 breathing treatments. We were back again by midnight and this time he let them admit him.

I hit the road Monday after bringing him home Sunday and watching him like a hawk and making sure he had all his prescriptions filled before I left (he has no more time off this year, so he's manning the fort while I'm away).

Anywhoooooo....I'll be back on in full force after Christmas.

Looks good to me guys! This week, don't wait on me if time is of the essence - since I don't know when I'll be able to get back on. Tomorrow evening we're driving to Raleigh, NC to see the Hurricane's play (hockey) and it will be late before we get back to Greensboro. We're doing our family Christmas on Friday (in a couple days), so we're already in the last minute crazy state of mind!

Should we start communications with the Vendors after the Holidays, let them have some peace and time to mull over the e-mail before deciding whether to commit?

Yeah, I think that's the best idea. If a company doesn't check their emails over the holidays the invites could get buried.

If we wait, we may need to also consider the lull between Christmas and New years. Waiting until January seems to be a better option or we could just go ahead and send them now and follow up with a second mailing for those who don't respond, then call in January to confirm.

My thoughts:
I would LIKE to have vendors join us, if for no other reason than I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE IN PERSON!

WHAT does a 'vendor' look like?? Are they NORMAL folks 'like ME', or are they like 'the weirdo scamsters' the FDA currently wants us to think they are???

I WANT folks to join us and I WANT vendors to come play with us, too...and I WANT everybody to be excited to get together and share this LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE face-to-face!! We're replacing an unhealthy analog habit with a MUCH MORE PLEASANT (and FUN) vaping experience...and I am HAPPIER because of it! What's more, I'm HAPPIER KNOWING I'M NOT ALONE, and I'm tickled as can be to have the opportunity to MEET other folks on a similar path.

It seems to me that vapers and vendors go hand-in-hand, and together, we ARE a positive force for saving lives...even our OWN!

THAT is EXCITING! If I were in charge of the mailing, I would send an email now, another next week, and possibly every week after the New Year...cuz I'm kinda excited about our plans!

In fact, I plan to invite a couple of my 'smoking friends' to come join us at OTG, because I want to expose them to 'an alternative' to analogs. I can't imagine a better opportunity for them...and wish I could have had such an opportunity myself!

I have a couple of back-up ecigs with attie's and drip tips that I'll let my friends use that night, for sampling flavors and hardware, and I want them to be able to talk with 'the vapers' and hear THEIR reasons for giving up the analogs, and choosing instead, to vape!

I would be completely HAPPY if we descend in droves upon OTG, and have to stand in line just to get inside for a little while.

• If that should happen, I'll be on the phone calling news stations and papers to send photographers, camera crews and reporters to cover the event, to help spread the GOOD WORD about vapers and vendors (and OTG)!
  I can also imagine that OTG management would be GLAD to have us back in the future.

If we're planning a BIG event, let's go for a BIG EVENT. If every vaper currently planning to attend, brings one or two potential vapers, we'll need a bigger location next time!

I wouldn't hide our excitement by being too 'business like': I think we need to let'em know we WANT them to come, and we're GOING to BUG them til they do!

We really DO need one more 'committee planning session', cuz I want to try some more of rabernet's juice ...PLUS I have a few other ideas we might enjoy thinkin' about, in preparation for the February 'Vapin Eatin Meetin' (say that 3x's real fast). My schedule is currently flexible for any Friday night, as well as Saturday or Sunday in January (afternoons are best for me). I suggest to pick a DAY and TIME. If OTG allows vaping in the public areas, that works for me; otherwise we'll find a place.

@MikenGA....I think I have created another Monster...But very well said, my Friend And let's NOT get too business like, I started this to be a FUN experience, and by gosh, let's keep it that way, for us Vapers AND for the Vendors.

Its simple really. Send out the email now and then the people responsible for each vendor sorta becomes an account rep in a way, they become responsible to get the vendor there or if they can't come see if they want to donate to the Sample bar and or raffle/door prizes. Just because a vendor cannot attend does not mean we will turn down their donations. Sweet Chaos, almost got one in that color, but chickened out at the last moment. I PM'd Mom and Pop and Dark City to let them know we will be sending out a formal invite soon and to be on the look out and start thinking about the event, just to give them a heads up. We need to get the vendors we want to come to start thinking about it because they have to plan. If they are coming a little distance, this might set them back on making juice orders or product orders. The more time they have to plan the better. M&P still dont know if they can attend, but they are definitely going to send some samples and maybe, possibly, be able to send some stuff for our raffle. So, keep in mind that if a vendor can't come, ask if they would be willing to donate samples and or something for our raffle!!!

This has been nothing but fun for me all the way through and I have been blessed with some great new friends. I think I will make many more along the way. I too am very excited about our 'little get together'!

Vendor emails have been sent! I could not find any published contact information for Akston-Hughes or Whim Wham Vapes as it seems their sites are still under construction. I will PM each of our assigned group reps to get your email to forward any replies.
