Ardo,

Thanx for the site! Hope everyone will contribute info.

How do we enter vaping friendly businesses?

Ya might want to mention the 500 character limit in da story panel.

For those that might have multiple right screen entries (like I had
doh.gif
), you can delete the non-pertinent ones.

Thats why you can look for vape friendly restaurants and not go there, But others may enjoy this kind of place so why should they not exist? If vapors are a minority then it will stand to reason vape friendly establishments will be less than those that aren't. But it should be up to the owner not the regulatory boards of city's, county's, states and gooberment.

That's exactly so :)

I like what you are setting out to do but in all honesty, it probably won't work in getting people to accept it. I just vape where I can and follow the rules where it's not allowed. No need to ruffle feathers.

Not ruffling feathers does absolutely nothing except to say do what you want and I will blindly follow the rules that are laid down. By ruffling feathers, one hopes to let those trying to lay down ignorant rules that we are not going to blindly follow what they deem is right. And I say ignorant because those that are making the rules generally have never seen a vaper or an ecig and base these rules on information provided by the ANTZ, without doing any research on their own.

In almost all cases where vapers have shown up to fight ignorant laws, those laws do not get passed. When no one shows up to ruffle feathers, laws get passed to lump vaping in with smoking policy.

We REALLY do need to Ruffle feathers. The more the better!

:)

The key here is to allow business owners the choice without government imposed bans. That would then allow you and me to choose whether or not we want to go where vaping is allowed.

Agreed.

Legislators can do what they want only if we remain ignorant and blind about the need to get involved. If we can show that we are paying attention and focuse on finding out which places allow indoor vaping and which places don't, we can show legislators that we can handle this question ourselves.

This is why we are collecting vaping stories. To prove that there are real people with real stories of improving their lives thanks to e-cigarettes. If there's a threat to ban flavours, mods, indoor vaping or tax heavily, we can send emails through with vapers stories and those who attend these meetings can refer back to VapeOut and say "we got this!"

In this case the right remains with establishment owners and yes, for the rest of the world they still have to put put signs that either allow or forbid from vaping indoors.

Yep, totally understand the vaping stories part. I also understand wanting to identify "vape friendly" establishments for the community's knowledge (i.e knowing where to to to vape), I guess I just don't understand the correlation between knowing who allows vaping and legislation. But, I'm not the smartest guy on the block so I'll just assume I'm not making the connection.

Yep, will take care of the 500 character limit.
Adding places is on the way. Hopefully we'll get there over the next few weeks. I'm doing first introduction and getting the word out for now.

I will keep you posted. Many many thanks for the feedback :)) Love this

I don't believe anyone has said anything to contradict your obvious statement.

No worries. It can be hard to grasp the idea at first and understand how all that comes together. Trust me, I've been pitching the idea for people for some time now and I'm still struggling to find the right words and explaintations.

It is quite a huge thing that we are building up here. A little patience and soon we'll show how that works.

Cheers:)

What's really needed is a national chain that sell vaping gear and is also a hang out, not necessarily a bar, but more like a lounge, a coffee shop really. A shop that's dedicated to selling coffee but also carries vaping gear. So instead of trying to convert businesses why not build a "recognizable" chain of outlets that "cater for the vaper" from the start.

Build it and they will come! As long as the ANTZ don't get their way.

There are millions(?) of indifferent, tired of politics, disgruntled with nannyism, people who are not voicing opinions, but are a class act who are ok with us stopping smoking, are smart enough to not believe the propaganda, who suppirt as long as the business is well ventilated & doesnt overtake their own personal space. The main ones who vocalize differently, usually have agendas or have only tuned in to the fear mongering.
Its up to us to educate & demonstrate.

I'm in total +1 with the positive speakers.

Ive met very few non smokers who agreed to forcing smokers into the unprotected areas. (Rain, hail, heatstroke). Yet they all agreed its too expensive to make businesses or towns provide adequet shelter. I do believe they would chit if they knew they were forcing ex smokers out there too. The town bloggers who put up a fear mongering fight, are on the benefits pkg program, in one way or another. They rally, we rally back, the people wake up.
