Ok,
So...well yah um.
The issue boils down to this really which is lack of education for those that don't vape, media trash campaigns and rude vapors that want to own their space without respect for others (yah, I said it).

Really, I mean be the bigger person if someone jumps up in your business and walk away. Trust me they will look like the bigger idiot ranting at someone not paying any mind to them. If you know your in the right then some calm and informative education will help the issue out and may actually bring another person to our defense when all the legal landslide comes rolling down by the FDA. I can understand being asked not to vape by a hospital or in it really, in this case just follow the rules as any smoker would and be outside in the designated area or area's that are for smoking. This isn't to be mean, rude or disrespectful to you however your in a place that has immune compromised people, this also applies to allergies that they may suffer will be 10 times worse (I get to the point of almost full blown reaction from my dogs when I'm sick, normally I don't even need to take meds to handle them).

I understand the workings of sprinkler systems and how they are "Set off" however the smoke alarms do not work the same as a sprinkler system, the alarms are electronic and rely on particle detection methods that will pick up vapor, even though the sprinkler system wouldn't be set off and dumping water the alarm would go off and cause a headache for the building maintenance. Thinking 3 steps ahead is how you win a chess and also how you can understand life in general.

We all live inside our own box wanting our own space and our own rules, we often times don't step out of that box and wonder how it may be affecting others around us. I would say that we live in a society where focusing on the "Me" has taken over looking out for the "Us" in society, I've seen it in more then just the vaping community and its not hard to find reading the daily paper. We need to put our best foot forward for now and show the world that vapers are not the horrible people that the media has painted us to be, maybe then we can work towards the goal of proper education and putting out revenant and truthful information to the general public. Sadly the first thing that a group is weighed on is the actions of its individuals, this has been and will be the standard norm for most people.

Someone had expressed concern over they possibility of vaping setting off the sprinkler system... Was just showing that person how it wouldn't be possible :p

I read an article the other day about certain groups pushing for fat-shaming being deemed a hate crime and obese people becoming a protected minority. By this logic, I guess harassing vapers/smokers could be considered vape shaming, lol. If this continues pretty soon we will all fall into some kind of protected minority bubble and no one will be able to express an honest opinion without somehow oppressing or offending someone. Oh wait, that already happened.... This victim mentality sweeping this country is a disease and needs to be killed, with fire. What ever happened to the Maxim of Law that states: My rights end where yours begin.

Ah! Merci, mon ami. That's what I wanted to read. Thanks for saving me the search through municode.
Wow! page 6 nails us.
Where I'm truly appalled is on page 20, line 266, item 3; Private Clubs.
How they get away with prohibiting smoking/vaping in private clubs is due to
"The organization has been granted an exemption from the payment of
federal income tax as a club under 26 U.S.C. Section 501"

That tells me that if the private club doesn't apply for tax exemption under 26 U.S.C. Section 501
they can probably regain the freedom one would expect from the word "private".

That's got to be fodder for an appeal.

At least Sec. 66-73 cuts private homes and tobacco retailers some slack but still, the whole thing is yet another ridiculous attempt by gub'min
to protect us from ourselves that as far as this writer is concerned is just unacceptable.

Man, I thought Miami-Dade County's anti-smoking ordinance was bad but this..
What were they thinking? Sheesh!

Quelque chose de terrible est arrivé et New Orleans. ce est presque aussi mauvais que Katrina
Je pense que je ne suis pas plus Charlie.

Oh, sorry.

Yes this is crazy, Hazy. It`s what happens when peeps have to much free time and no buffalo to slaughter.

people start reacting that way because of articles they read that "vaping can cause cancer", before articles like these hit.. people didn't mind... when it dropped... friends around me who actually SMOKES but avoid inhaling my vapes.... lol... thats how news articles whether its fake or real can affect peoples perception of things... im like dude... chill out... ur smoking something thats 4000+ chemicals and smells like poop but mine is less than 10 and smells GOOD, but he still keeps waving my vapes out of his way

If you live in an "open carry" state, carry and it will all cease.

just feeling harrased for vaping in public. I have no choice but to vape in public since im basicly staying at a hospital right now in cali with .y husband. He has some health issues and we were flown down here. Anyways Im a very polite vaper or I try to be. I go where no one else is and o done blow it at people. Im not trying to force anything on anyone but people give me dirty looks and say "theres no smoking" say that in ur most annoying voice btw lol. Its funny sometimes people cough cus they dont see its vapor. So its kinda funny people are subconsciously choking on smoke thats not there. Best smelling smoke ive ever smelled! Anyway let me know if any of you have experienced this. Thanks for letting me vent a little.

I wasn't exactly concerned. I could dig setting off the sprinklers if it was possible.
However, you explained the workings of the things admirably.
And frankly, I'm sadly disappointed. I was all set to go vape in the boys room,
cheaper than taking a shower at home if it worked. Aw Chucks!

Bring back the buffalo! Wait, buffalo (bison actually, same family different species) are an endangered protected species.
How about a bureaucrat slaughter? If we thin the herd enough maybe they'll keep busy trying to make more bureaucrats instead
of trying to make our lives difficult.

You obviously know what happened the last time we invaded! ;)
Wet beaver pelt and poutine, yummm.

Yummy. I love beaver...Never had poutine, but now that I just looked it up it looks
like something I'd enjoy. Must be the French in me.

Somebuddy should make poutine vape juice...I'm sure I can find beaver juice. ;)

I've been advocating the return of the guillotine for some time. Not only very efficient, but a powerful symbol.

Indeed. I read someplace in one of those conspiracy forums I'm so fond of that Big Brother was planning just that.
I actually made a working model of one when I was a kid. It worked! I used a razor blade with a fishing lead on it
and decapitated several lizards.
I'm sorry about that now. Especially every time I see an iguana staring at me...

I've been known to throw somebody out a window..of course we were on the ground floor at the time, unfortunately.
Other things have been thrown out by me. I sometimes threaten to toss my kid's mac out the window
but it cost too much $$$ so instead I make him mow the lawn
