Question about the ceramic. does it have the soapy taste? mine arrive today so i actually thinking that when i saw scott video for the ody he put to flames, i mean the ceramic. Should i do that?? any advise

It won't hurt to burn it with a blue flame for about ten seconds. I burned mine for much longer and ended up cracking it, but it still fits together nicely and I'm still using it.
I'm using the premade wire that came with the Penelope and could only get 4 wraps for 1.5 ohms and using it on my Vtube at 3.8v using 100% VG juice.
Edit: Oh, I forgot. I used a double wick. A long one and a shorter one to wrap the wire around like Scott showed in his Odysseus Vid.

I had a really off "taste" for the first day until I couldn't take it any longer. No juices tasted good. Threw away the premade wire Penelope came with, and also took a gas flame to the ceramic for about 30 seconds or so.
Made up a new coil using 32 nic for the resistance wire. Running 2.1 ohms at 4.6 volts on 100% VG juice.
Now I get what the rave about Penelope is all about. Love it?

I made the purchase through COV about a week ago for the Penelope, but haven't heard anything back from them.
Am I on a waiting list? Roughly how long is the wait if you didn't pre-order?
I'm asking because many vendors charge your credit card at the time of shipment, but mine was already charged.

I think you need to contact them mine i purchase on Order Date: Wednesday, 20 July 07/25/12 05:2012 i received 07/28/12. It arrive to my office in MA

I sent them off an email this morning. Was just curious if anyone knew here.
If you ordered you got on the pre-order list. I got an email invoice but when I didn't get a shipping email after several days I contacted COV and discovered I was on a pre-order list. Since the Penelope jumped into my cart, I thought they were in stock. Wrong. It took 3 wks to get it. It depends on when you get on the pre-order list. I must have gotton on a new pre-order list because I've heard others say they got theirs a lot sooner than I did.
The quickest way to get an answer is to contact COVs associate supplier in the COV forum. He will get back to you the same day unlike Bruce.
I'm pretty sure that they have them in stock so the wait shouldn't be too long.

It says right at the top of their site "Hurry! The NEW GG Penelope Pre-Order - Get yours!" And I've never gotten a response to that contact form. Sorry, I don't mean to contradict you, just telling of my experience.
This is the only video I could find but it's a good one. It's for the Odysseus but very much the same as the Penelope.

Watch Scott's videos on the Odysseus atty. He runs through how to attached the non-R to the R wires. I believe he actually says this in the Penelope video. He's the same guy that did the video above (igetcha69).
The Odysseus Video that I posted above shows how to twist the wires and make a coil. It's the same as for the Penelope.
