As the ecigs were not doing much to kill my analog habit, I am going to the dark side. Have my first order of General minis and discreet for 2 levels of nicotine. I am lurking at Mr. Snuff, and have a QWS IceCool bullet in my cart. I was looking at the Lotzbeck vanilla, but they are out. I was also checking out the Wilson's Vanilla. I think I would prefer Menthol and Vanilla flavors, but we all know how that doesn't always work out the way you think it would. What I think I will really need is a quick blast first thing in the morning to jump start the snus (without the TV shotgun blast to the head with the fire hydrant eyes and near-fatal sneezing. lol) Any suggestions from more experienced users would be greatly appreciated.

I was in your position 2 weeks ago... ditch the snus honestly - it's ok but snuff is more than satisfying enough. I bought from Mr. Snus too - QWS ice cool, irish coffee, and apricot are good. Get McChrystals OG for a decent menthol hit and Toque for something milder.

Hi firechick and welcome to the darkside.

I have not tried the Icecool but I have tried the Lotzbeck Vanilla, it is a dark snuff, moist and fairly coarse, I got more maple scents than I did vanilla. It is not bad but was a little hard to snuff when I first started snuffing.

You might try some of the Packards Club which is one of the Posch snuffs, it is a very nice menthol but not overpowering, I have not yet seen anyone on the forum that disliked it.

Perhaps Wiz will chime in with some good menthol recomendations as he loves menthol. I do not use many of those.

firechick welcome!! Make sure you add a few more snuffs before you hit the checkout button or you will be paying $10 for that 1 bullet(Shipping is around $8) If it's menthol you like...their are a variety of different menthols to choose from. For straight up,kick you in your teeth menthol, the Hedges L260 is the best(use with caution at first...high nic and strong menthol. McCrystals O&G is a nice mild menthol/tobacco mix that is a great beginner snuff IMO. Wilsons of Sharrow has a ton of menthols from Menthol Plus to S.M 500(a bit of citrus)and also the "Famed" Crumbs of Comfort(Not menthol but a very nice Spearmint).Poschl also is a big menthol maker.....a few of my faves are Packards Club and Poschl Raspberry. Last one would be J.H. Wilsons Medicated(which is available in a 8g tin for under $2....Good deal!)

Hope you have fun selecting!:)

YEAH!!! Another girl!!!! That makes what now, five of us?? Welcome!!

Wilsons vanilla over lotzbeck FUR SURE!
WoS Gold label is nice straighter tobacco.
Torque spanish gem is very nice also
if you like clove.. McCrystals clove is amazing no nonsense clove action.

another you cannot go wrong with is RR mills maccaboy.

WoS o&G is pleasant menthol, I find the menthol WoS is a bit more on the kick your skull in than the hedges.

At one point, 2 to 2 1/2 packs a day. I could put down my 801, and smoke an analog within a couple of minutes. It does replicate the motions, but it just wasn't killing the cravings.

At 2 1/2 packs you're going to need some serious nicotine, and it's going to take a bit of time to find what works for you. Both of the snus you have picked are on the light side. The discreet snus is rated at higher nicotine but the reality is that it really doesn't give much of a nicotine hit. No better and perhaps even a bit less then the mint minis. I would suggest throwing some regular sized mints with the order. General Wintergreen is also popular for beginners. Regardless of what you get you definitely want to try at least some of the standard nicotine portions (8 mg) with your high nicotine needs. You may end up needing something even a bit more on occasion as in the strong portions (11 mg and up)

For me snus is where I get the great majority of my nicotine and nasal snuff is just a pleasant diversion. Everyone is different so don't let anyone tell you what's right for you. Give it all an honest try and find what's best for you.

Welcome to the dark side, sometimes known as the other side of the tracks.

You people ROCK. Thanks so much for all the advice! I started with the small portions because I have to be able to hide this at work (use inside the facility is forbidden as is vaping ) and I figured I could always use more of the small stuff, but if it was too strong I'd just be spending money on something I can't use (I certainly have hundreds of dollars of vaping supplies that fit that category). I will add some Wilson'svanilla, and get myself a can of regular portions. I'm trying the different flavors of the snus slowly to see what I can really live with. I don't know anyone else in my area using this stuff, so giving it away while it's fresh would be an issue. My better half has tried it but will continue to be a skoal man. (yuk) I am going to call my nearest tobacco shop today to see if they can get any of this stuff since PACT is coming anyway.

My nose still has rather unpleasant things to say about snuff, so I mostly snus. Northerner currently is selling out their Christmas snuses, so if you happen to like flavours like this (I do), it's a good opportunity to get them.

Alex, how do you figure out the US dollars before checkout?
