great thread you guys (love how it took a turn for gaming, my husband would be proud :D ) I'm going to pick up one of these gizmos for sure now!
Also Hey to a fello holly-werid-ian! I graduated from South Broward!

Do try both the gizmo and a pin vise. The latter travels with you anywhere and they're about 5$. Eventually as you build tanks and want to move on to better gear having the variety of bits available everywhere is a bonus. But my fav about the vise is the incredible control it gives you to hit that exact point that the wire gets "sticky". That's golden.

Good luck and thanks.

Amazon usually has the best prices on pin vises. And Suncoast has a great summary of available drill blank sizes from major producers.

Fastest way is to refer you to this post on the REO's RxW Nextel thread…

Thanks for your remarks on my blog uke…

I mostly live on the Protank Micro thread which features winds directly adaptable to the REO. A post on Dremel drill bits there to answer your question. They're redic cheap and useful for DIY modding…and a few other helpful links.

Dremels and bits…oh boy!

Or google "brass pin vise", or on Amazon

An optimal Nextel coil diameter for deflection is a #50 drill gauge (.07", 1.778mm) drill blank. You can get these at Suncoast, maybe local industrial houses which are more common up by you than here...

List of common spec diameters and resistance…for the drill bit wire gauge equivalent to inch and metric drill blanks...

There ya go! Here's a shopping list. Most of this stuff is a buck or two. Only thing is you have to go all over to get it. Tap me on the shoulder re any question.

Good luck!

Good luck rasci. PM if you need us.
