I see this proudly displayed.

More slaves have been under this flag, and more oppression in other nations than this..

This was the symbol of people to keep their rights under a Gov. who does not listen to the people who it should work under. Your Constitution and Bill of Rights are under fire, or trampled on. People care less that they are illegally listened upon, or watched; where is your blood? "I have nothing to hide" you forbade your Bill of Rights.

"what are you hiding from?" tired of hearing this... where is your honor to keep your rights? "I have nothing to hide", but they need law and warrant to search my home, phone, computer, car or any personal property. Let them take a step forward and they will move forward. But tiggs it is a new world in which this should be allowed. No! Nothing new under the sun. A warrant is cause before a judge to watch or go to your house... get it? The law of the land.

I do not care what you do, so long as it is not illegal; what have you done to be searched without warrant? Nothing for 90% or more. Pull me over illegally in my car, I do not care? Come to my house without warrant, I do not care? Listen to my phone calls without warrant, who cares? Read my texts without warrant, who cares? Read my emails without warrant, who cares? What!?! they work for Us!!!

So, I decided to leave my dishes for tomorrow.

However, I did just brave Safeway for provisions and lived to tell about it! I knew better than to wait, especially this weekend because it's Lazy Bear Weekend, but I was too tired during the week. It's not Lazy Bear, it's Crazy Bear!

Now, it's slug time...

3. Just got some sad news from my boss today...I saw I had missed a call and text message from her which is unusual because it's Saturday, so I was almost leery to call her because I knew it couldn't be good. Turns out a really good friend of ours, a fellow lawyer friend, and my personal lawyer and friend who put me and her together, killed himself yesterday. He shot himself outside his law office. Turns out he had cancer really bad and no one knew it. He thought he was doing everyone a favor by going out this way so they wouldn't have to watch him suffer, but all he did was leave behind a lot of hurt and confused people. My heart goes out to his family, especially his wife and sons, one of whom just gave him his first grandchild. I am just so saddened by it all.

Wow, what a nice surprise to come home to! Thanks for all the 'rats...

... and a BIG thank you to GMO for the contest and the weekly threads, as well as to Uncle for keeping us in line even as he makes us smile.

The picnic was an event thrown by the hospital where my kids were born. Every year they invite those kids who spent some time in the NICU--which both of my kids did (nothing wrong with them--it's protocol when a child is born more than a week early; both of my kids were). In years past, they used to provide a large spread of BBQ chicken and ribs, beans, potato salad, etc., but changed that a few years ago to smaller pre-made sandwiches. My wife and I let the kids eat and then, after the event, went across the street to an establishment called Soda and Swine, which served up a very nice assortment of chorizo and other meats made into various meatballs and served on sandwiches, salads, and fries (Angel, I got an extra helping of the dirty fries just for you).
