Good morning everyone. Already had coffee and been up for 6 hours here.
I just knew I'd have some awesome pic of a downed tree to post today. We had a most terrible thunderstorm in the area last night. I even moved the cars well away from all the trees just in case.

Here's one of my favorite tree couples enjoying lovely weather:

NOW - That's a GREAT IDEA . . .
However, it seems No One is giving @Shawn Hoefer any credit for his ferocious tenacity and the OCD compulsion he has to actually accomplish the goal/task he has set for himself . . .

Yeah, though I walk through the aisles of vape store, thy empty check book and thy full cabinet, they comfort me.

You are correct that we/I have little faith..........I for one am an observer.........and from my place I have seen you many times say that you are done and still buy something "new" as the "shineyitis" attacks when you are at your weakest...

Eh Shawn, it's not so much little faith as it is a response to previous behavior...and also as a shinyitis sufferer myself, I know all to well the pitfalls of making that very same vow to buy no more, and then something new and shiny, or just something at a deal too good to pass up, comes along and well there goes the vow right out the window!

Seems to me, if we're having a pool, we must have ground rules.
I, Shawn Hoefer, will buy no tanks or equipment that has not already been ordered between today and December 31, 2015 (man, I'm gonna miss out on all the Christmas sales :-( ).
Said purchases shall not include coils, wire, wick, e-liquid, or replacement batteries needed for the continued operation of his existing equipment.
Full disclosure: I have placed an order for an Aspire Pegasus, an Aspire Triton, an RBA for said Triton, a charging base for said Pegasus. An additional order for a CloudCig Fishbone RDA is in the works. This shall also not include any items that I win.
If I fail, I shall select a tank/mod combo and ship it to the winner of the pool. Winner being the individual that was closest to the date of my failure without going over.
If I succeed, I expect a device or atty of the Tree Fam's choice to be delivered to me

Good afternoon everyone. My thoughts on Shawn and shinyitis are this: All I've ever had to do is tell my kids that they CAN'T do something and guess what... that's the first thing they're going to do. It's that old "I'll show you." syndrome. They seem to love a challenge.
As far as trees go, this tree sits in the middle of the road in my neighborhood. It's been there since the 12th century (when roads came they built them around the tree in deference to it's age and majesty) It's an oak tree that measures 13 feet in diameter. Legend has it that native American braves would meet their maidens under this oak hence it's name "Lover's Oak".

Oh Look! More things to climb (or fall off of)...
So the bet is @Shawn Hoefer "buys" a new shiny? If he wins something, that doesn't count, right? Well, I think Shawn has sufficient fortitude to last at least six weeks. I'm betting on ya, kiddo, so hang in there.

Well there is the catch - It is not considered an order as of yet, it is only making known an "Interest" in purchasing said items . . . The actual Ordering/Purchasing of those items takes place when the NEW Thread is Opened and the Sale Goes - LIVE ! ! !
BTW: Nothing to worry about - I would not have held Ya' to "Your" promise, especially since I was the only one who knew about the items "You" are going to be getting in the next few days . . . BUT - WOW did it take Ya' long to figure that one out . . . Ya' must be going crazy already not being able to shop for new "shinnies" . . .
AND - Personally, I can't wait to "see" what "You" are like on New Years Eve . . .
"We" may NEED to get "You" something special to keep Ya' Safe (or should that be Keep "Us" Safe . . .
