Well, it appears that Mac's idea has taken root. Since Shawn is stipulating a time limit, I propose that we also limit the amount of time in which people can place their bets. Say, the end of this thread (Saturday)?
And, Blue, if we can get others, I'm in on the Treefam purchase for Shawn--but I think we should place a limit on how much people will be responsible for chipping in. We don't want it too high because that provides extra incentive for Shawn to hang on... but we don't want it to be a bargain-basement-priced evod, either. I would say between $5 and $10 would be appropriate. There are seven people who have already picked--assuming everyone is willing to pitch in, that would make the prize worth $35-70. Or maybe we set an upper limit and divide the amount...
