Disabled and, therefore, forcibly retired. Used to be an engineering manager at a large Orygun company, however, so your name just sort of automatically appeared to me to be a title. It is board-op-boy! Nice of you to catch that! So few people actually do. Are you in the business?
D'oh!@anjelvape77 - Congrats on your new grandson!

A ha! Thank kind of board op. I've run boards at our auditoriums, and I used to deejay a 6-midnight run at a radio station.8-21 - 4
@glassmanoak, Further investigation proved I was 197% over inbox capacity with old messages! Thanks for the heads up! Also... PM sent!
Excellent! Long gone are my days of being a board op... I am now production director in a medium market... it's not glamorous, or well paying, but it's what I love doing.
I was a party DJ in college, but never had to work a full production board. I still spend some time cleaning up my analog recordings as I slowly digitize them, but that's all done virtually.A ha! Thank kind of board op. I've run boards at our auditoriums, and I used to deejay a 6-midnight run at a radio station.
I was never a Sysop, but I did write a BBS platform--does that count? On the other hand, I used to assist in the operation of a bulletin board system.
I've got you beat here, since this is something I grew up doing... and still do--only sans the board these days.I've never surfed, though, and can't operate those boards.
It counts if I can claim it, too. Hey, see my ECF handle?I've also bored people while operating... but I don't think that counts...
I think places that beautiful are better left unspoiled for those that are willing to find them.8/21 #3

Another one of those little waterfalls you can only get to by hiking deer trails. So sad so many people will never see it...

Well, congratulation on the promotion. Not because you got a bigger title or maybe even a small increase in salary, but because you are doing something you love.Long gone are my days of being a board op... You are right, and the key word is "willing" to find them. I really would hate to hike out there and find tourist trash all over the trail. When I hiked maintained trails, I used to pick up everyone else's trash and take it back to the garbage cans at the parking area. If they could carry it in, they could carry it out. Whole bunch of expletive-deleted words for those kinds of people.I think places that beautiful are better left unspoiled for those that are willing to find them
