@Fuzzy Thunderbear - That is SOOOO COOOOOOL. I can't say I'd heard that about mules - maybe stubborn, but probably sometimes for a good reason :)

Morningnite all :)

I just made my 1st batch of ejuice! I was going for raspberry cheesecake, only bc those are the flavors on hand that seemed straight forward.

It tastes pretty good as it is, but it's supposed to get better after steeping, so now I'll wait...impatiently. ;)

:tumble:
8/28 - 3: Finally back home, it was a long one. Stay safe Uncle, get to feeling better Shawn. ranger stick the juice in the microwave for about 4 seconds and shake it up, do it again for about another four and shake it up. If it feels real hot stop there, if not one more at 4. That speeds up the steeping.

One more quickie before chores...
092 supply mules almost at top.jpg

Empty supply boxes on mules after stocking the Phantom Ranch cupboards. The other neat thing about mules is the shape of their skull - wider at the top and their eyes can actually see their back feet without having to turn their heads, so they are much more sure of where they are stepping than horses. While here at home, I'd much rather ride a horse than a mule because they go where I tell them, in this canyon. If you turn a horse and kick it over the edge, it will do what it is told, which would mean death for horse and rider. The mules lean away from the edge if the rider is dumb enough to try that. Oh, and they have to use mules to take stuff down to Phantom Ranch because aircraft are not allowed in the canyon, so they cannot take supplies down by helicopter. The only time I ever saw one go down there was a life-or-death situation for a person that had to be AirEvac'd to a hospital.

I totally thought about doing that, but was afraid. Now I will. Thanks!

My Dad , as u kno, had a small Mom and Pop store...that kinda bs would've never flown with him...to leave a job unfinished and blow it off to an employee:evil:...glad u made the best of it

No horses or other rideable animals are allowed on these trails because only mules are smart enough to stay on the trails regardless of the stupidity of the riders. Mules refuse to get close to the edge.
Thanks for sharing those awesome pics with the mule train history...That's on my Bucket List..a mule ride into(out of?) Grand Canyon...I'll make a note of the Phantom Ranch ;)
Mules were worked for a long time in the underground mines here...they used to lower them down the mineshafts in a harness cradle ...they go blind down there eventually due to working in darkness..even give birth and die down there...but they were much loved by the miners who worked with them. Intelligent animals..Personally I preferr them over horses. Thanks for sharing ;)

@tiggerrts ..pasting those DIY notes into my notebook! I don't do DIY yet...but no doubt I will .
@rangerrobin raspberry cheese cake for your first flavor...awesome! Sounds yummy!! Me want... me want some!:D

Shawn hope you feel better!

Uncle stay safe!

Congrats on your first batch of juice Robin! I've also been making juice for 4 years and I still mostly stick to single or double flavors. I really respect the skill of Glassmanoak for his ability to make such complex flavors. Every time I get the idea to make something complex it comes out tasting like :censored:!

4. Well dinner was good...now I'm stuffed....time to slug out some more! :D

Jpf, I hear ya...I mostly do simple flavors right now too...but I do have one that has 5 different flavors in it that has come out pretty good...still tweaking it to get it just where I want it, but I've been vaping through it pretty quickly so I do like it as is...I just think it could be even better...the trick is figuring out which of the flavors it needs more of!

8/28 - 6: From a true blooded southerner to you, one of the best of all time. Born in Texas and have lived there to this day, our pride is heavy, just like everyone else in other states. I have asked for it again, and ask for it again. Show your video of your state, area, heritage..... tiggs likes to be educated.

Going to head to bed soon, sleep well all.

@tiggerrts I hail from different areas..born and raised in one...lived and made memories in several others...including a country or 4....I can only speak of my brief encounters with each ...so don't know that I'm "qualified" to address the "heart" of each.*grin* I tend to shy away from the touron attractions (thank you @Fuzzy Thunderbear.. I last heard that term used by locals in Alaska!) and mostly just "live Life" wherever I'm at. Like you, I enjoy experiencing different places others have experienced ..thru their eyes.

I will insert that video here. I think I have finally got it. We are not to dictate to others our wishes or will, if we are to be compatible; there needs to be compromise. She gave me rules on how to live, how to speak, what to do; and more. tiggs is waking up.

hmmm time to ponder.... for real good night all.
Sleep well, work well, do well; whatever it is do it is well. May your health be good, your travels safe, your home sound. No matter the hurricane, or the wildfire. This I pray to all humankind that is peaceful.
