9/11 - 1: Good morningnight all, and yes remember this day and the lives lost, and be sure that I do.

Okay when a building is chosen to be demolished/imploded/pulled what does it take? Engineers are brought in with blue prints and the main supports of the building are located. Using computers to help them figure out how to make a building come down in its own space, it takes a month to get the building prepped. The third building to fall the owner can be found stating they decided to pull it, as it was damaged too much. So on the most hectic day, while chaos was surrounding the area engineers where found and everything prepped on one day, perhaps the worst day in America's history?

Morningnite, TreeFam

Yes, a somber day to be sure. I flashed back to where I was that day - working out of town with a new client and hopping over to AOL throughout the day to get the news. No one could believe/understand what was happening. Gas prices "jumped" from $1.49/gal to a whopping $1.79/gal in a matter of hours, and lines at the gas stations that day were the longest I'd seen since the '70's. Went out to dinner with my client that evening - the roads were a ghost town by 6:00-6:30 that evening. Stared at the TV all evening, watching the horrific scenes over and over and over again

God rest the souls of those who were lost, either directly or indirectly because of that day's events.

Good morning, everyone. Last night was hot, humid, and uncomfortable. There was also a rabid mosquito on the loose that savaged my leg mercilessly.

If I buy one for me and give her one of mine, does that count?

I would say it does because you are getting a new one for yourself.

Okay guys, I will try and make a short post or two today, but it probably wont be much. I am leaving today with hubby for his work week, and know for sure that I will be gone for the next 5 days, but I have the potential for being gone for two weeks straight.

Well made it through the injections buty dr said he couldn't do both neck and back so back it was... Not to happy cause my neck needs it to... Still a lot of pain and feels like a couple eggs into back. Making some Chinese steak teriyaki and going to spend the day in bed. Should be fairly easy cause I didn't get much sleep last night

Hard to believe it was 14 years ago. I was working in a hotel, checked a few people including a pilot out and wished th a good flight. Went home to sleep only to get a call from my manager telling to look at the tv. Since that day I cannot tell anyone to have a good flight.

Stayed up too late...did not want to get up this morn...My Mom told me that when she stayed out too late, Grandma was sure to get her up all the earlier the next day...a fitting punishment

@anjelvape77 ..that is the beauty of being a branch on our lovely Tree of Life. A bad day will not kill the Tree...Life goes on...take a break...take a breather...rejuvenate..give yourself permission...tap into the vast Source that is our Strength....I heard a little Karo Syrup was a good cure for sluggish house plant (@Slowone2...you're my green thumb guru here) ..my stunted lemon tree took off after I dosed her... You are being held in the arms of the great Tree..it will be ok.
@mac63....yep...definitely...now there's a side of you I've never seen

During the 90's I was literally glued to CNN for the OJ trials, Waco, the beginnings of the Gulf War...Ironically...I was in Alaska on 9/11 ...off the grid...helping build a friend's house . We were completely out of contact with the outside world. We had the rough frame and walls up, but no roof yet. The main picture window had been framed in ...I remember my one friend returning from a supply run into town and brought back a newspaper....and laid it on that window sill...Front page...the horrific image of the second plane impacting...we looked at each other...in utter shock......we had missed this and had no clue. Were we at war?? For a moment we were unsure. It was a Sunday..a good 4 days after the fact..and we were still alive. We figured the end of the world would come and we would miss it. The experience is in odd contrast to what most people went thru.
Rest in peace my fellow First Responders ...and all the innocents of that day...and God bless their families.

GF and friends arriving later that planned, so I have some time to post.

Okay guys, I will try and make a short post or two today, but it probably wont be much. I am leaving today with hubby for his work week, and know for sure that I will be gone for the next 5 days, but I have the potential for being gone for two weeks straight.

I wont have internet at all (or television..lol) so I wont be able to drop by and say hey..

today I am spending my day getting together the stock photos for a couple/few projects that I can work on in photoshop when I am bored waiting for hubby to get off work and also running to the store for a few supplies..

I do wish everyone a great day, wonderful evening, and a lovely week!

I would ask one thing of everyone, something for us has come up in which, if all goes well.. but there are several uncontrollable if's, then our lives will change for the better - and soon.. I would ask everyone's prayers and good thoughts for us over the next month or so, if you would be so inclined, that those uncontrollable if's work in our favor!

First - Keeping positive thoughts and sending good vibes for you and hubby!

Second - We'll miss you. Are you going camping?

No camping, just staying in a house on my (other) sister-in-laws land which is really close to hubby's job.. has electric and all, just no internet. It's a cute little house, thinking of renting it.
