Just saw that Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream just released a new flavor just for Texas, Bourbon Pecan Pie. Sounds great for an ice cream and great for a vape. Double scoop please!

It's a BE-U-TI-ful day out..and I wanna get me some o that Sunshiney ....

9/18 #1 I'm up too and it's chilly here..darn..might have to use the heater soon!

I am really enjoying the Fall cooler temps here..and yes, it is getting quite nippy here in the eves (High Desert) ..good sleepin' weather, we always said....Not lookin forward to Winter...too windy and cold (pneumonia weather)..tho I like how the sun ..when it DOES come out...is so bright, and the skies are SO BLUE... (think Lake Tahoe skiing) ..you are snow blind without glasses...and how the snow melts off the sidewalks by noon...(no shovellin!!)
They have horse drawn sleigh rides over up in Tahoe...on my Bucket List!

@tiggerrts Momma always said..and it bears repeating...better OUT, than in.... feel better soon...Take the time off to catch up on your napping

...I love love LOVE metal roofs...nothing beats the sound of rain ON a metal roof..(raindrops on roses and Whiskers on Katzins ) But yeak...the leaks...Perhaps up at the roof caps??...Those areas are troublesome...'spec when wind blows the rain UP into and over the sheeting at the ridge caps...My roof in my AK cabin was metal...during Spring warm up it was always fun to hear the foot or more of snow up there go " ZIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipppp!"...as it slid off the roof Them's were LONG Winters mind you, anything to break the monotony of darkness was welcome.
I have heard that cats ..and dogs,etc KNOW when you are hurtin....dunno..my cats seem to e oblivious, except to the sound of a can opener
Thank you for those kind words about Mom...She is still alive and kickin,btw... I wish my growing up Me could have met the woman ..the friend ..that I know and love now...But she had her own Grown Up Thangs goin on back then..and I feel blessed to have the time with her now

That used to happen to me alot...'specially during those times of the year where 6PM looks just like 6AM...find myself freakin out and calling "Time and Temp" to figure out which is which.

Well, here's the er.... scoop on why Texas Only

"So why Texas? Well, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream has sold pints and scooped ice cream in Texas for well over 20 years. The ice cream maker proudly partnered with iconic Texan Willie Nelson for the musician’s own Country Peach Cobbler flavor from 2007-2014. Last year Ben & Jerry’s created the two Texas-inspired flavors at a music festival in Irving, TX and the response from ice cream fans was amazing. Texans spoke, so Ben & Jerry’s answered by bringing back the two Texas-exclusive flavors being featured on this year’s four-month long summer tour."

I'm also guessing that they want to grab some of the Blue Bell Ice Cream market, especially after their listeria outbreak shutdown production for months. Smart on B&J's part. I've added the new Bourbon Pecan Pie ice cream to my shopping list, will try it this weekend!

After concentrating only on the lower part of the roof (where the leaks are) for years, the top cap finally registered as a potential problem because we get more leaks during a north wind. So I went up there to check those little foam pieces that are supposed to be put in before they screw the metal down. I found gaps, so I filled the gaps with spray foam. Then painted over the foam so it didn't look like crap. Either I missed some gaps or the birds have pulled my foam out. Unknown which might be the reason, but I'll have to get out the extension ladder and go up there again real soon. Sigh...

I've added the new Bourbon Pecan Pie ice cream to my shopping list, will try it this weekend!

My first reaction was to ask you to post a review here, but given that the rest of us can't get it, maybe that would just be torture... more sighs...

My first reaction was to ask you to post a review here, but given that the rest of us can't get it, maybe that would just be torture... more sighs...

Thanks for refraining, Fuzzy. I'd be afraid that those of us outside of Texas would be sorely disappointed by the flavors we have at hand--even if they were our favorite.

Waiting on a phone call that keeps getting postponed...

I'm sure I'll be better in a few days but for some reason realizing it has been six months was overwhelming. She used to have me sing Janis for her all the time and the memories with the 6 months just was a for me to face.
