Well the nap was nice...

I finally started scanning and downloading some of my photos ...a tedious task as they are pre-digital...but I only plan on scanning a few at a time...At that rate it will only take me ???????? to complete it
To all and @tiggerrts... sharing a little glimpse of Alaska from a local's (non-tourist) perspective.
This is a view of a portion of my friends' 500 acre ranch property in Interior Alaska, the following Spring after "prove up". In Alaska, after you win the sealed bid for the land auction, you have so long to bring the land up to a certain level of workability for farming...If you fail, you forfeit the land and any payments and deposits made.
Here ..if you look closely, you can see the "berms" (running side to side ) separating the newly cleared fields....where the bulldozers piled the chained down debris. Generally, the berms are burned out to create a nice open field, but in this area , fire danger is high...and you pretty much need a firetruck standing by before Forestry will let you do that. My friends grew oats,barley and raised meat cattle. That light grey area to the extreme right that looks like clouds is actually a major mountain range..can't remember which.

About time to settle in with a movie...Tomorrow I should feel more like I'm back on something that feels more like routine.
I snapped this shot of my Alaska kitty Mischka roaming around outside my cabin. I had to do a double take...That rabbit can't be wild!! (though the Snowshoe hares ARE all white in Winter, this is probably early Summer) I think one of the neighbors must be missing a pet rabbit!!

6. OMG! I much prefer Princess Angel duty to having to watch two rambunctious boys, ages 7 and 4. I am flat worn out. I think the little one has finally fallen asleep after giving me the runaround all night. I love those boys, but man I'm just not up to keeping up with them after a long day at work and only 3 hours sleep last night! ...Hopefully their mommy will get home soon so I can crawl into bed...Gonna wish you all a good night and go ahead and shut down.

Still trying to decide what to watch on netflix...might as well post the 3rd pic I scanned today.
My landlord decided to do "a lil landscaping" a la dozer...I came home from work ...and saw THIS.....This is how we "mow the lawn" in Alaska
Those are rhubarb plants in the garden in the foreground...

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and to some, good night... Spent the whole day driving and doing the monthly shopping and driving and unloading and putting away and then cow/horse/chicken chores and then late dinner and now I'd really like to go to bed but there's a few things to catch up on first.

I finally started scanning and downloading some of my photos ...a tedious task as they are pre-digital...but I only plan on scanning a few at a time...At that rate it will only take me ???????? to complete it

Good luck with that Katz. I scanned every photo I had, including some of family before I was born... over 20,000 and it took me a couple months, then there was the chronological filing (folders for year containing folders for each month, with pictures numbered in the order they were taken) which took even more time. That was the pre-digital age, and now the new digital pix are easy to load in order, so now my whole life in photos is on a portable hard drive. Anyone want a couple still working 35mm film cameras?

What I got in vapemail today was a Triton, a Triton RTA Kit, a Pegasus, and a Pegasus charging base.

Oh, and a Crown tank with a Crown RBA.

And a Lemo 2.

And I bought a Velocity RDA.

And a spare 26650.

The Pegasus is a different kind of TC mod... it auto-detects TC coils using a 30 W pulse (same system the first release of the eVic VT). It'll take some getting used to.

The Triton is a glorified, top-fill Atlantis 2. I am a little unimpressed.

The RTA system is a bit of a PITA. Kinda leaves me wondering if Aspire is out of touch... it's different for the sake of being different without being any better...

But the charging base... THAT'S cool!

The Lemo 2 is ok. I think the original had better airflow, but it might be my build...

The Velocity is freakin' awesome!

The Crown tank is well built, and I like the RBA deck. Haven't used it much, yet...

I just love the way Tapatalk rotates pics for you...
