10/7 -3: Get to feeling better all, looks good Shawn. Yeah I get to waste my time waking up tomorrow to work a whole three hours.... I so detest this.
:( ..I keep hearing that adversity makes one stronger..Is it making you stronger. I often get to thinking that I've gotten soft ..but then I cancel that thot...cuz if it involves pain and suffering, no one would choose that...

10/7*3
feeling a little better, but really tired and I have no idea why...oh well...at least that's the worst thing I can say about my day lol!!!
I cant wait for hubby to get home and open his already!!!
..ha-ha..oh you must fill us in on how that goes.

Get ta feelin’ better, bud.
My head and tummy hurt and my mouth is still sore.

My mama woulda stuck all of ya's in the same bed! And brought ya mint tea and buttered toast. Schmeared ya up with Vapo Rub and wrapped your throats with a wool scarf. Then she woulda read ya a scarey story at bedtime. (like Grimm's fairry tales  ) She was a nanny for rich folks in the Old Country before she married Dad.:)

"I will learn as much as I can about as many things as I can before I am no longer here to learn them." Even today, I feel that if I do not learn something new every day, I have wasted that day. And, here on the farm, I also say, "If I don't bleed a little each day, I am not working hard enough."
One day you will have to teach me how to properly sharpen a chainsaw blade. I really struggled with that up in AK. 'Course it was done by hand with a file.

Got some vapemail today.
:w00t: (What..no pics? ...pics or it didn't happen.... )

Funny you should say that...my grandfather used to say that if you didn't learn anything new that day then it was a wasted day. Given that, I try to learn something new, whether big or small, every day! :)

I got vape mail today too! I was floored fishing it out of the mailbox. Early birthday presents!
DOUBLE :thumb:!

10/7 [HASHTAG]#4Yes[/HASHTAG], I also used to race dirt bikes... even in the snow
..so non-chalant:rolleyes:...I call that "Extreme" dirt bike racing!!
There's a spectacle in Alaska called Arctic Man, I think you would have liked:D
Here's an excerpt of what it entails...
"The Arctic Man is one of the World's Toughest Downhill Ski races, and an exciting snowmobile race, all in one. The skier begins at a summit elevation of 5,800 feet and drops 1700 feet in less than two mile to the bottom of a narrow canyon where he meets up with his snowmobiling partner.

The snowmobiler meets the skier, on the go, with a tow rope and pulls the skier 2 1/4 miles uphill at top speeds of up to 86 mph. The skier and the snowmobile then separate and the skier goes over the side of the second mountain and drops another 1200 feet to the finish line."

Crazy Alaskans:D

Spaghetti for supper. And everybody better be feelin better when I get back too! ...sounds like sumpthin my ma would say :D
(the good stuff starts about a minute in..and heck no this is not me...)

One day you will have to teach me how to properly sharpen a chainsaw blade. I really struggled with that up in AK. 'Course it was done by hand with a file.
I still do it that way occasionally, depending on which chainsaw I'm working with. I have a bench-mounted sharpener, but seldom use that because you have to take the chain off the chainsaw, which requires you to re-do all the adjustments when you put it back on the saw. My favorite way is to use a Dremel tool with a little sharpening wheel sized to the chain. It has a guide to show 30-degree angles for both sides (30 left, 30 right) so it is easy to do every tooth as you pull the chain around by hand.

Not sure if I'd have been up to that one (86mph on skis? Phew!). We did one when I was still in Orygun that started at the 9,000-foot level of Mt. Bachelor. Ski down to the lodge (about 6,000-foot level), then throw your skis off (hopefully you have a helper) and jump on a bicycle and pedal your .... 20 miles down the mountain to the outskirts of the city of Bend. Dump the bicycle and jump in a canoe and paddle your .... down the Deschutes River to Drake Park. Fun stuff, but never finished in the trophy class.

This (pic below) was more fun for me. Start on a sandy flat, race 500 other guys up a mountain to snow, down a couple canyons, back out on the flat (checkpoints all along the route just in case you try to shortcut the course), which makes a 50-mile loop. Refuel, and do it again. Total of 100 miles of extremes. I never finished in the money with that either, but I did always finish, which cannot be said for about 40% of the participants. And it was memorable to be refueled under the Team Husqvarna banner, even though I wasn't part of their team. They saw what I was riding and took the gas can from my wife and did it for her. Then I got involved in International Six-Day Trials, which is a whole other story...

The last post was very long..this one's short...short-er:D
BTW I just installed a simple program called l.flux..that filters out blue light from my computer. Studies suggest exposure to blue light, like off your puter and cell ph interferrs with melatonin..and thus your sleep patterns. mayb no coincidence that those of us who spend alot of time. surf before bed or work on a puter have trouble sleeping??
G'night/ mornin all.
How's this for a Dreamscape....

Guess I better wrap it up for another day, but first, I ought to show y'all that it is not just chickens that lay on my shoulder. This is me and my daughter, Samantha, and her toy poodle, Muffet. Sam was about 3 1/2 in this picture and now she is 44. That thought just makes me feel really OLDT.
