my father and step mother...this is about a year after his liver transplant...hard to believe the transplant was almost two years ago now...

@anjelvape77 ..nice pic of your Dad and step mother...He's looking really good! I'm glad he is doing so well. Modern science is full of miracles, isn't it?!

Yeah...my whole family thought I'd lost it when I told them I was moving up there..and out there in the Bush with no electric..no running water or indoor plumbing. Definitely insano. But in hindsight, it was quite an adventure!
Sounds like your Grandma was quite the "adventuresome spirit"!
Some of my friend's children..making an Alaskan Snow Pumpkin...so it must be close to Halloween here. Again...notice how dusky the pic looks.
All you Mothers are probably goin', "You kids get some clothes on!!" ..notice neither one is wearing a jacket!! ..Kids!!
This is the road they live on...and I think they have one neighbor. No body plows the side roads unless they own a plow blade for their truck. Most kids in this neck of the woods are home schooled. This family also lived "off grid". And powered the lights and DVD player in the evenings off of an old Subaru engine.

I'll be keepin' my eye on the Black Friday sales, mainly for my gf, because I'm all set with devices and toppers.
It's ridiculous how fast the industry changes! It's actually cured me of my shinyitis because as soon as I have received a device I spent days researching and finding the best deal, the next version has come out and/or the prices has been significantly reduced.
I'll be keepin' my eye on the Black Friday sales, mainly for my gf, because I'm all set with devices and toppers.

As per usual this time of year, I watched another horror movie last night, The Woman In Black. It wasn't bad, more of a traditional type horror movie, it had it's creepy moments. Think I'm gonna go for a foreign horror movie next, just not sure which one yet.

Feeling quite a bit better. Might have had something to do with NOT getting to bed a 2 am and actually sleeping.

Tomorrow is my 1yr quitversary! I figure I've spent approx 2K in the 1.5 yrs it took me to quit smoking. Crazy, but okay, if my life has been extended. My new goal is vaping on a budget.

..well..remember I told you about those moments that break up the monotony of the deep dark depressing AK Winters??
How about 17 baby goats living in your front room for about a week or 2??! That's what happens when they are breed "out of season" ....Baby goats have no thermostats for their first 3 days or so after birth...They would have likely frozen to death outside in minus 20* Alaska Winter weather.
But they are SO CUTE!!! My friend's children had names for all of them.

Good Morning TreeFam. Up and got my first cup of Coffee Down. I always seem to be the last one to bed and the first one up in House. Chilly in the house this morning so pulling out the desktop heater. Not sure what surprises this day will bring. But Hope Everyone has a Great Day

...now some of you have prob figured this out...If these are newborn babies...where are their mamas???!
Well..outside in the cold, of course! There was no way THEY were comin in the house for a week . So the babies were bottlefed..Yep..several times a day, night and day. Good thing there were several children old enough to do that responsibly. If I recall, after the first few days, they were put with their mamas at dinnertimes..if mama would let them...and then acclimated to the great frigid outdoors after that.
