1. Morning Treefam! Thanks for the comments about my avi guys! You all are so sweet! I put it up in another thread last night to join a few others who were doing it and was just going to leave it for the night, but I think I'll leave it for a little while now...And Robin, it's tough being a Goddess, but someone has to do it! :p:laugh:

I'm just having conversations with the VOICES (and they're getting a bit irate that I'm ignoring them right now while chatting with others).

BE Careful - DON'T Ignore them for too long, especially since they can get real nasty and very loud if ya' do . . .
gif.gif

They - Might even start slapping Ya' around also - which can be quite painful . . .
scared-smiley-emoticon.gif

SO - Just as a suggestion - Be very "mindful" of what they are saying, before they take over . . .

why he decided the pink glasses were a good look we will never know

Really - That's easy to figure out . . . It was either that he was - being the "Fashionesta" he will be in the future and he just knew that the glasses would looked good with the outfit he was wearing . . . Or - Like any superhero, he didn't want anyone to know his alter ego . . .

it's tough being a Goddess, but someone has to do it!

WELL - Let's be honest here, how difficult can it be when it comes so naturally . . .

I actually remember a couple things from earlier reading.

First is a response for Uncle on his time comment - I know it can be allowed to be bit off for posting times - just a given when going across all the time zones. It's more that I prefer too try staying within the times for each one that I post in - seems to help me keep a little better track of stuff. Probably crosses over from the job as I have to deal with the time thing there as well.

For Fuzzy - I don't talk to myself all night. Most of it happens during daylight and I'm just having conversations with the VOICES (and they're getting a bit irate that I'm ignoring them right now while chatting with others).

I totally get it, I have voices in my head too. I know the voices aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas!

Yesterday I was changing the coil in my sons Sig Mini 30 watt and it fried in my hand, it just started heating up and smoking, I got the battery out before any damage was done to me but the mod is toast. Thankfully I had a backup.

Today I did my normal routine, started coffee and let the dog out came back in to pour my first cup and no coffee was made, I started to panic thinking the coffee maker was broke started to check it out only to realize I didn't put water in it. Starting to drink the first cup now.

Still catching up on posts with my mornin coffee.
Yes @rangerrobin... I had friends cancel their roadtrips due to the road conditions in the mt passes... content to stay right here inside where it's nice and warm and dry :)
@Roadtrip635 ... loved your story about the Finn gf :D I grew up around accents... both my parents picked up kind of a Kentucky drawl kind of English, cuz that's what was spoken in the region of Ohio where I grew up:rolleyes: ....I sound much more Southern than my Lake Erie friends, who have more of a Canadian clip. I have heard of some Asian folks taking Am English lessons from Brooklyn natives... I love it! Or how 'bout those guys who can tell where you are from by the way you say things?? (geographic linguists?o_O ) I also personally love the Hoosier drawl:) Even Germany has like 31 spoken dialects ....Grandpa spoke Low German ..spoken among the trades...and Mom only understood some of it:rolleyes:
@angelphyre and @anjelvape77 ... to both our "angels" ...good to "see" you again and I promise you things will slow down to a snail's pace right about the day after New Years. Then we can all take a nice long hibernation with the bears until Spring ;)
I haven't decided where we will visit next...maybe back to Alaska...In the meantime...I sure wish I hafd one of these handy! (German redneck hot tub)

I really love listening to different accents especially when they cross cultures. My hometown had a large German heritage, so I grew up hearing a lot of German. My Dad even though he was hispanic, spoke fluent German, it was a kick listening to him speak with some of the German old timers. Two of my nieces, now Texas transplants, grew up in Indiana and still have traces of their Hoosier drawl, which still amuses me. :)

Prolly the most confusing conversation I had been a part of was with the Finnish GF and her parents and brother on a 4-way phone call. Her parents didn't speak English and my Finnish was fledgling at best, but her father spoke some Spanish which I can speak, , but the GF or Mom didn't. So here I am going from Spanish, English and my god-awful Finnish, trying to keep track of who's saying what in what language. It was a little rocky but OK until her brother got on the phone and started speaking Swedish, I was totally lost at that point...:?: It was a fun experience, the GF said her parents got a kick from hearing me trying to speak Finnish with my American/Texas accent.

That's OK, Mac. Personally, I only listen to the first nine voices in my head. The rest of them, I figure, are just figments of my imagination, so I ignore them. ;)

--the story continues -- Part 6

The little girl had been running a long way when she found her father cutting wood in front of their cottage.

"Father, father! There’s little people! There's little people in Mulligan's Meadow! Hundreds of little people! I saw them all around this giant mushroom. And father. I even caught one! He was only about a foot and a half tall father, but he got away! They said they was Leprechauns. Oh, come look father!"

"Settle down, me darlin' girl." He looked patiently down at his excited young daughter. "Why don't you go wash up for tea now sweetheart?"

"But father, the little people. .. "

"Now, let's not be havin' any more talk of little people. We'll have our tea and discuss this later."

She walked sulkingly toward the cottage as her father looked on, shaking his head.

"So it's little people now, is it? 'Tis a wonder she did not try to tell me they came from the stars. Children do have such wild imaginations these days... "

FINIS

So now ya know. This type of story is something called a "tomato surprise" and few magazines want to publish them, but it is the type I most like to write. I did, however, manage to get this one published back in 1977.
