Its good to BE back!

...uncross your fingers for a couple days, this one didn't work out but the guy hes going to see in two days sounds like he really wants to bring hubby mine on...

I'm still knowing it will all work out but I have some sad going on...he spent years working steady then got laid off for 6 months...I know it wont be like that this time but still I worry...

Prayers for an awesome quick job for hubby Anjel.

I cut a hole in my living room wall, put in an electric outlet box and ran a nice stiff wire through it to the outside. Already for the cable person to come tomorrow. Even pulled out the laptop and got it ready to connect to the Internet. Sometime between 8-10 they will be here and I will no longer be stuck using my cell phone for Internet. So excited I am.

I thought about that well after I had passed the last one.

Well, I tried...

Even pulled out the laptop and got it ready to connect to the Internet. Sometime between 8-10 they will be here and I will no longer be stuck using my cell phone for Internet. So excited I am.

Thank you very much for the sentiment. Seriously. But... Here's the way cutting firewood works: you either do it or you don't. No way for an oldt phart to not work too hard because... well, imagine you have just cut a tree that is 18" in diameter into rounds about 14-16" long. They weigh 45-60 pounds each. Now, lift it up, carry it up a slight hill, lift it several feet to roll it into the bed of the truck. You can't not work too hard because that thing weighs a lot and I had about 40 of them to put in the truck. According to the doctor, because of my screwed up back, I should never bend over and lift anything that weighs more than 20 pounds (preferably 10). Yeah, right! If I want to survive, I have to do this. (and the VA doesn't want me to have anymore pain pills) There is no one else who can do it for me. Sure, I could pay someone to do it, IF they'd even come out this far, but then there would be no money for groceries (which cost me $297 this month and six months ago the bill was only $198 for the same stuff, yet Obutthead claims there has been no increase in the cost of living, so we disabled/retired folks get zero COLA this year). Oh, and a bag of wheat that needs to be poured into the chicken bin weighs 60 pounds. Who's going to lift that? Me. This is a farm. Everything is heavy. Life is tough - live it or get out of it. I choose to do the best I can with what I have. Now that I have said all that, cleared my frustrations, please ignore everything except my thanks for caring. Loves ya!

The day's work is done and I'm about as tired as tried can get, but I'm hanging in here for another hour or so, just to see what might be going on in the rest of the world.

My daughter, who flew over from Germany for a couple weeks and who I had not seen in 25 years, and I turned her into a cowgirl.

YEP - They Did, They ran oout of cheese and other "Stuff" before "We" got there for a late lunch early dinner, so I had to settle for a Footlong "BMT" w/lots of spinach and a Friend had the Footlong "Turkey/Forest Ham" . . . "We" shared the 30 oz Soda and even refilled it too . . . Everything came to $9.47 - so it was $4.72 each . . .

4. @CountBoredom - we ended up having Subway tonight thanks to you...I had no idea about that deal, and my son was happy when I texted him to ask what he wanted, so he thanks you for the suggestion! ...I then promptly feel asleep in my chair after dinner and didn't wake up for 2 hours!
