11/17 - 4: With the bad weather and a less than reliable truck, I sure could use your good vibes and prayers.
I know they are not going to do what I told them; so preparing enough food for three for three meals and water to boot. It will be interesting to say the least.
You got it, Tiggs!

I am traveling today as well...during daylight..in good weather ...but good vibes never hurts.
Having lived yearround in Alaska for many Winters ..and now in Nevada ...you come to have a deep respect for Mother Nature ...It is not only unwise to travel unprepared...it is downright dangerous...and can cost you your Life. The Summer's here are brutal...it's a desert afterall...no water...no cell signal in many areas...and severe temp drops from blistering hot to chilly in the night. We still get news stories of families who went camping and their truck broke down in the middle of nowhere....they came prepared and were able to be rrescued unscathed because they had enough water, food and shelter and warm gear. In Alaska, it is the cold that will get you...minus 40...if you break down or get stranded you better know how to dig into a snowbank , make a makeshift bed and light a candle for heat.
In short, I applaud you,
@tiggerrts ...I wish you safe travels...but if not...I know you are PREPARED! Life and Death situations is no time to try to teach someone a lesson. Believe me...most people will get it after an experience like that.
To the rest of our travelers....Safe Travels and good vibes.
@Roadtrip635 ...the more stories you tell ..the more I feel like I KNOW that story! Being raised in Ohio, a Roadtrip might include a trip to Cleveland...up by the Lake ...course living more central...I really didn't get what a storm off the Lake could do!! I remember driving home one night ..in the '80's ...in a blizzard...and it was so cold...it was all I could do to keep about a 2 inch by 2 inch square of windshield clear to see out of....And no...there was no getting out to clear it...it was zero visibility ...hard enough to even see the taillights of the car in front of you moving at like 2 miles an hour....Took us HOURS to get home..but we made it there alive

. I think I was your buddy who knelt down in the snow and kissed the ground I was so happy to be home and alive.
Well..that should be enough to hold me if I don't get on here the rest of the day
