Monte Cristos are my fave and so hard to find...
I like them, too. When I was in Baltimore years ago, there was a great restaurant that had great Monte Cristos for a reasonable price. They also sold Thunderbird by the bottle... and it came in a brown paper bag.

I thought of you, Blue, when I heard about the storms. But since you were posting regularly and didn't say anything about damage (and I read all of this after the fact), I figured things were okay for you.

Thanks Count...it was pretty bad...but I unplugged for the worst of it because the lights flickered for a few hours...the trees here are pretty sturdy....but then if they keep removing them...well we all know what happens because of that...

Did we get the same storm as Liblue (cascadia) or is that one yet to hit us? We did get up to 65mph and lost a few limbs and I saw this morning that the Love Acres sign on the garage is about to fall off. Too cold to go out there and climb a ladder right now though.

Well, we don't do lunch, but it is after lunchtime now. Brought in three wheelbarrow loads of firewood and wondered why I filled the bin so quickly, then realized I was using the bigger wheelbarrow now and this would be five loads with the old one. OK, that's more like it...

Drinking for the kids last night went well. (For the record, Angel, we had two pints of their wheat beer, an asiago artichoke-crab dip appetizer, and a "Cuban Cristo" sandwich--Monte Cristo with pulled pork and a few extras added with a raspberry-jalapeno remoulade.) We managed to pass one of the fundraiser flyers to a big group that was celebrating an engagement, as well--I think their tab was going to be about $500.
No wonder I felt kind of full last night! :p..Thanks Count!:D

Been very busy today, but that's what happens when the boss hasn't been in all week...have to get everything done in one day!...Just hoping I actually get out of here on time.

@anjelvape77 - For me, it's a balancing act between work and ecf. Some days, I can't remember what day it is, let alone what the last # I posted was. Starting in the new year, maybe sooner, I'll post without dates and #s. I don't want newbies to be confused, but want to stay connected here.

Time to walk into work. Have a great day, everyone!

:tumble:
If I was still working I would probably do better lol...I was notorious for using every second of my break...with the people at my house in AL it seems like there is never a break and I don't want them to think I don't want to engage with them so it's pretty constant...I'm not complaining, I love the love and family but it seriously is like 20 hours a day of dealing with people now that my adopted son lives just five minutes away and is expecting his first baby.

I'm still without wifi but for good reason. Hubby came home early so wifi stopped being important!

TIOA sns 4 eps 4: Almost two years ago, tiggs went home to find the house empty; crying and panicked he laid on the floor crying.
Present: JPF went out with his boys and enjoyed a night out, that had not been for many a year. Lynn was stuffed, the company dinner was very good. Fuzzy was giving out his wisdom.
