1. Morning Treefam...dragging today, but it's Monday, so that's nothing new.
@rangerrobin - Yay for getting a full nights sleep!
@jpf880 - So glad you had a good time out with your boys the other night...you deserve to go have some fun! We watched Spy this weekend. We really enjoyed it. Laughed a lot! Also watched San Andreas...it was pretty good too.

Morning. Night Tree Fam.
The last post I remember reading from @Uncle, he was going back to bed that morning..and he followed it with a a big grin
..still..it IS very unusual for Uncle not to post SOMETHING if he were going commando ( ) for the weekend...or any length of time for that matter. I mean, even in the rural hinterlands of Alaska the BookMobile Libraries have internet access.
@tiggerrts @Fuzzy Thunderbear ...Is there no one we can call to go check on Uncle?
Asking the local polizi to do a "Health and Welfare" on a person when they have not shown up to work, etc is not uncommon ....BUT as I recall..@Uncle's housing arrangement was rather tenuous, so I am being patient a lil longer lest cops showing up there worsen his relations with the management. He has never instructed us what to do if we don't hear from him

I was unplugged from the internet a good bit of the weekend ..but I heard about the Paris terrorism on the radio Friday night. The talk radio station(out of Reno) was roasting and skewering the Reno mayor for allowing the Rainbow flag to fly over the State building instead of the US Flag. Now I have raised many a flag ..and taken many down a flagpole ....You have no business raising flags if you don't know that the US Flag unfurls above all the rest!
I could not believe they were talking about that instead of the horrific acts of violence committed in Paris.
My heart goes out to all the victims families ..and Peace and Light to those fallen ..whose lives were snuffed out so abruptly and with such malice.

"Uncle" is alive . . .
Now - While I am slightly taken aback and surprised, I want to say to EVERYONE that Your concern for "Me" is well noted and very much appreciated . . .
However, without going into a lot of details, I hope you will understand that I NEEDED to take some time for -"Self" . . . AND - NEEDED to get a lot of "Stuff" taken care of for "Me".
So - On that note, I would like to apologize for not posting that I was going offline for a few days, however I did not know that I was going to so until I made the decision to disconnect from the Internet and phones.
OH - BTW: A couple of other comments . . .
1) Although anything can happen, unless there is an emergency here in Florida like a hurricane, 72 hours is really good time period to wait before getting worried . . .
AND - 2) So glad No One actually called the police to come to "My" apartment to see if I was still alive - It's happened before and let's just say the experience of having a Police Officer in your apartment when you're sound asleep was - NOT NICE ! ! !

@Uncle ...thank you for letting us know ...as long as I have been here, you have been the "helper" and consistently posted at least once a day...and it was just so not like you to not post for several days...so of course we were worried
I am glad you are taking time for yourself....I know that doesn't sound very spontaneous..but if you could give one of the other helpers a heads up when you want to take some time off...then (if willing) they could post in your abscence ...as "helper" you are not allowed to fall off the planet without raising concern

ATTENTION TREEFAM! We call ourselves a family. Are we, really? I have the phone numbers of most of my blood-relations, though I admit that I don't feel the need to contact any of them and, if they fell off the planet, I probably would not know about it for many months when someone else casually mentioned that old-what's-his-name drove off a cliff. BUT... I care a lot more about several of the people on this thread and, even though @Uncle was only offline for a couple days (and I understand his stated "need"), obviously many of us were worried about him. So, I have a suggestion: How about those of us who feel such tight connections share our phone numbers and e-mail addresses with a designated "keeper" (ummm, pick someone you trust... someone like @liblue1 ?) who will solemnly swear not to give that information to anyone else. We could all pick Uncle, but given this recent disappearance, it probably would be best if there were two people so entrusted in case one of them goes missing without prior notification. What do the rest of you think about this?

Well there is one who already has all of this information...GMO!!!!!.......there is a number on the website and he has the contact information for everyone who has ever ordered from him......so had the disappearance been any longer...I would have contacted him to get in touch with Uncle.....I am just saying.....I personally don't give out my info to anyone...but when I order items online they get all of that....people come & go on this thread over the years..and that's just how it is....some return and some don't.............

Last year we had a preemie baby that other ranchers were telling us was just plain gonna die (five weeks too early). He could not stand up by himself and had no suck reflex. We refused to give up, so I brought him in the kitchen. Lannie tubed milk down his throat, then I stuck my thumb in his mouth and squeezed his mouth up and down until he caught on so he could suck a bottle. I exercised his weak little legs until he could stand on his own. This picture is his first outside training day for walking. As soon as he could walk on his own, we took him back to his mother, who, luckily, claimed him and took care of him.
But you and Uncle will always be here... right? And what if GMO is in the hospital again? Then again, maybe I am just a worry wart... I LUVS YOUSE GUYS and don't want nothin' bad to happen to any of you - EVER!

This is not a knock on anyone here--I do not mean to suggest that someone has an ulterior motive or is not who they say they are--but the world is a dangerous place and it does not hurt to be cautious.
Sad but true. We are a family in the way that we do care about each other, but we also must remember that this is cyberspace and people come and go for many reasons--and that the anonymous nature of the medium can also foster ill-minded impostors with nefarious ideas in mind. I think the connections are there to be made for people who wish to share email, physical addresses, or phone numbers if people wish, but it's also worth remembering that trust is best built by several different means.
