Gotta remember to call my sister and get the details for Thanksgiving. I'll find out what she wants me to bring. It seems like there's one thing that gets forgotten every year, but no one notices until afterwards. Last year it was cranberry sauce......

Good Mornin' / G'Night and Good Vibes Tree Fam!

@anjelvape77 - Thanks for the clarification. ;)

:tumble:
lol, I just want to make sure we are congratulating and celebrating the right people...my time will come but now its time to celebrate our other angel!
Fast from all better just back on my pain meds after a month and half. Got approved for another surgery but it costs $100,000 and I would have to pay $25,000 of that which I don't have so for now just treating the pain till disability gets approved then Medicare will pay for the surgery
That's a rough situation sweetie. Hopefully your approvals wont take forever!
Wifey is not doing well today, I'm waiting on the Dr's office to call me back now, probably going to have to call off work. I hope we don't end up at the hospital. Prayers and Good Vibes would be appreciated!

:tumble:

prayers and good vibes for you and wifey jp

****

@angelphyre I hope you get better quick!

Thank you...hard to believe he is already 3 months old!

any tips for getting back on track when one gets back to old habits? Hubby took to smoking while I was in AL...he says hes not going to buy another pack, but I'm worried that he might be going back to smoking for real

I wish I knew what to tell you. I'm still smoking at least 2-3 a day. For me, none of the liquids I have just doesn't take away the desire for the taste of a real cigarette for me. Although I did find out something the other day...cigarettes are going up here so that may be the catalyst I need to make me quit once and for all! Lol

Is it the taste or the hot dryness of the smoke? If it is the tobacco taste, have you tried a tobacco flavored e-juice? I made myself a little juice for those days when I feel like I still want to light a ..... I put together some tobacco e-juice and a little raspberry over some German chocolate cake flavor. Then I vape it at a higher wattage than I would a regular flavor. Don't go so high as to burn the wick, but do make the juice hotter than normal. Higher wattage (12W) also allows for a shorter inhale time (more like a stinkie) than a low-wattage (7W) long draw. The above simulates a cigarette fairly well, but still lets me know it is e-juice vapor (that warm chocolate aftertaste). Well, it worked for me...

I think it's the taste and so far, none of the tobacco liquids I've tried has come close. Someone gave me a DIY recipe for a liquid that he swears tastes just like a Marlboro Light. I ordered the flavorings for it but the package was supposed to have been here yesterday hasn't shown up yet! :grr: I was hoping to mix it up this weekend.

That's funny you should mention that. The first few months of vaping, I still had an occasional cigarette, maybe once or twice a month. I started mixing a little tobacco juice with a little German Chocolate Cake juice and it really seemed to satisfy that occasional craving. It might have helped that German Chocolate Cake is my absolute favorite sweet food, but either way it seemed to do the trick. A bit of trivia..... German Chocolate Cake originally comes from Texas!

I'd keep my fingers crossed for you that it gets there tomorrow, but it would be real hard to do the chores tonight that way. :) Anyway, I hope you find something that works. Hogs & Quiches.

Sorry, get well soon!
Did I miss your 2 year vapeversary? :?:

:tumble:
Thanks girl...no, you didn't miss it...it's actually on the 26th...on Thanksgiving...I guess I'll really have something special to be thankful for then! :D

Thanks everyone for the well wishes...have progressively felt worse throughout the day, but bf was sweet and brought me home an eggnog daiquiri, so at least I won't care that I'm sick! :p

@LynnNC - hang in there girl...remember it's not the ones that you smoke, but the ones that you don't that matter! I hope you can find the right thing to scratch that itch for you!

Oh been there done that, if you think of the taste as having a cigarette and smelling it before it is lit then yes they are like it; none come to the taste of a burning cigarette. Anjel for the craving to stop smoking there is a formula for your husband.
zero nic = for fun
6 mg = a light cigarette
12 mg = a normal cigarette
18 mg = something like a Marlboro red
24 mg = a camel non filter, or cigar.
To stop one must usually go one level higher on the mg chart to help stop the cravings faster. It is most important to remember, or tell other people that the pain they feel and anxiety over stopping smoking for real are the 4,000 toxic chemicals being removed from the body, like a drug addict trying to get clean. Get past the de-tox and you are going to do way better.
