not having one that worked.....especially with the winter....power failures and all of that.
I am not so worried about a Vapocolypse as those power outages. We have had some that last all week. I got us a big generator last summer, but haven't been able to afford (yet) the huge fee for the "mains" power switch installation. So we want some cheap K-boxes because they use a single 18650 battery and I have 14 of those on hand, will charge them all and keep them on the shelf for "just in case." And I just found a Christmas sale on K-boxes for only $11.40 each (plus S&H, of course).

4 and this one too.jpg

I was climbing rocks again and this little person decided he was coming too. He followed me all the way to the top, so I shared my trail mix with him.

Oh, and the requisite tree:

Yay! My DHL vapemail is in-hand (well, it's in-box in-hand). I'm going to wait to prep it up until I do a round of refilling later today...

That was always my biggest fear about vaping....not having one that worked.....especially with the winter....power failures and all of that......so that's why I went with the puck mod....I don't fear that any more.....I even picked up a power pack to charge my istick in case..........

If you're not too squeamish, you might also want to check out this article: Pee-powered socks generate emergency electricity.

Just got back from the Dads & Donuts event at the school. Despite its popularity, I see the event being cancelled in the near future. Last year, they moved the event from the auditorium (easy monitoring) to the lunch arbor (open access) and were dismayed to discover that when a new box of doughnuts was placed on a table, a swarm of kids would descend--with the end result of some kids getting 10 or 12 and some parents getting none (I was lucky to get one last year). To combat this, they attempted to enforce a 1-doughnut apiece strategy, with kids getting their hands stamped and adults going by the honor system. This resulted in some kids using the bathroom to wash their hands (and remove the hand stamp) and fewer adults staying around and socializing. It also resulted in at least 5 boxes of doughnuts going untouched--a situation greeted by surprise by the organizers.

The event also came under fire, as some people complained that the event was only for dads (which, while often predominantly attended by men, is not necessarily true, as moms who show up are never turned away). Some complained that there is no "Moms and Mimosas" event--despite the fact that there are Mother's Day events (either by the school as a whole--such as Moms and Muffins--or by each class) and Father's Day falls after the end of the school year. So maybe it should be called "Donuts with parents who are often not considered to be the primary care-giver or who are generally too lazy to drop their kid off at school and force another to do so." Sigh.

That's too bad. Unfortunately, that's what happens when donuts get involved, etiquette and civility get thrown right out the window. There probably wouldn't have been any problems if it were Dads and Apples or Dads and Carrot Sticks event. Such a sweet simple food had to go and make everything more complicated.

@KatzWh1skers & @Uncle - Pics were taken, but not with my phone. I'll see what I can rustle up. ;)

@tiggerrts - Sorry you worked such a long day and that you have to work tomorrow.

Have a fab evening, everyone!

More interesting, however, was the pic from Dune, which I haven't seen in ages. Now I'm gonna have to go filter through the antiques at the back of the video cabinet and see if I can find it. :)
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Except the Dads prolly wouldn't have shown up either.....
Hey, I like apples and carrots...! :?:

My son wants to watch a Star Wars movie (not sure which one) while his sister is out dancing the Nutcracker, so I'm going to sign off early for movie night. Good night, Treefam!

It is by caffeine alone that I set my mind in motion.
It is by the beans of Java that my thoughts acquire speed, my hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning.

When it comes to donuts, forget about any kind of order. It becomes chaos.

Yep, once you throw in donuts it becomes like Thunderdome, except when two men enter, no donut leaves..... :D

Have you watched Dune recently, or just memorized that because it is so effective?

Oh, I like that version...

Oddly enough, winter is making me turn in earlier (or is it this new experience of sub-Ohm vaping just making my brain blurry?), so this is the last one for the day. Those of you still up, have a good one. Those already done for the day... see you on the 'morrow. G'nite y'all.

6 storm is over and so are the presentations.jpg
