It's like that at the larger theaters here, that's partly why I'm waiting a bit to go see it. Everybody's been so excited to see it, figured it would be best to wait a few days and avoid the mad rush....
I was a little at war with myself... I almost saw it on Friday to keep my record intact of seeing each movie on opening day. Now, I suppose I'll settle for seeing each on on opening week.

@CountBoredom . . . I use to "LOVE" going to the moviehouse, especially to see the big films on a big screen with a lot of people . . . Matter of fact, I would be one of those people who would be first in line (sometimes with friends) for the very first showing (GOTTA LOVE LIVING IN NYC) . . . NOW - I could care less and wait until I can see them in the comfort of "My" Private Theater (comes with a personal 46" screen and sound bar w/bass system too ;) ). . . I can dress as I like (or not), get what I really want to eat at a very reasonable price, and more importantly, I can usually pause the movie to take an intermission when I NEED to and still get back before anything else happens on the screen . . . Just Sayin' . . . :D
I agree with you, Uncle. Between the hassle and the price, it's much easier to see things at home. Of course, I've also been spoiled--in addition to the music business that Tiggs and I discussed several days ago, my team was also responsible for home video, so I received free screener copies of VHS and then DVDs for many years.

Just looked at the weather forecast - yesterday said nice for the next few days - today it shows rain for the next week.
Mac, you and I must be living in the same place since your weather and forecasts align almost precisely with ours. You sure you're not living in SD? :)

Good morning tree peeps

Off to the doctor to see if they have practiced enough to figure out my issues.

Smile, you don't want a frown frozen on your face now do you?

That's a tree, I don't seem to have one saved on my phone at the moment.

@teemae - I hope the Doc figures out what's ailin' ya and is able to subscribe a successful treatment. :nun:

@CountBoredom - When I lived in WeHo, almost everyone I knew was in the "industry". I was given screeners all the time and instructed to tell them what I thought because THEY didn't have time to watch all the ones they were given. :D

Funny this topic came up, since screener season has begun. I'm still gettin' them, just by other means. :sneaky:

@angelphyre - Oh, wow! :bday:

Time for me to roll. Have a terrific day, everyone!

:tumble:

Yep - One of the perks of knowing people in the business . . . Matter of fact, I was lucky enough to see many pre screening of Films/TV Shows when I lived up North . . . Also, having a number of Friends/Clients in the Music field, it was a very rare situation that I ever purchased Music over the past 40 years, even got a few "Collections" before they were released and went to a few concerts too . . . BTW: Besides a number of interesting things to happen - One of the fond memories I have is when I visited a "friend" at their work in a major studio as they were mastering a major artist album - they were also testing this very interesting new thing called a "Compact Digital Optical Disk" . . . ;)
