Here's a pic of my horse, and Roadtrip you're right, both pics are taken South of San Antonio; you know your mesquite trees. Slowone2, The good thing about rattlesnakes is that they warn you before they strike. My daughter in law got bitten by a little copperhead in her driveway just for getting too close, no warning!

Yeah warning is great except I'm from Vermont where the worse you come across is bees, skunks, and coldness. Not sure I would realize what it was. All good though. Totally hoping wifey gets the job in Florida. Kinda sad about having to move right after getting all the construction done, but at least I can know someone is living in a house I remodeled. I have the granite tiles all cut out for the bar, and we are doing them this weekend. Next the kitchen counters. Then I get to make the doors for all the cabinets. Been a long process but almost there. Hoping to be able to post some pics Monday. The wood for the cabinet doors has been sitting in the living room for a few weeks getting acclimated to the house. Our bathrooms and kitchen look awesome and totally don't belong in our house. Good thing is most all labor was done by me and wifey so the cost of all construction was minimal. Well that and piggy can pinch a penny so tight Lincoln cries, so most of what we bought was at an extreme discount.

That's a fine looking horse! I was born and raised in New Braunfels, so I'm pretty familiar with the area and mesquite trees...lol
The bigger rattlers give ya warning, but those young ones don't. I had a close encounter with a little nest of young rattlers. I was lifting up some grating and corrugated metal and there they were, several young rattlers about 6" long, they barely had a button. Always gotta be careful where you put your hands, but I guess that's a good rule in general....lol

Thanks Roadtrip, I loved my horse and used to show her in Western Pleasure, trail, and Halter. We won quite a few times.
The little darlin' on the horse is my granddaughter, and she's a natural, it was her first ride and she wasn't a bit scared.
I live in Cibolo, about 5 miles from New Braunfels, and it's grown so much, it's mind blowing!

Well, folks, I'm turning in early. Nope, not gonna stay up until midnight because it doesn't mean anything unless there's a party going on. So y'all have a happy and we'll catch ya next year.
