OH MY - People are wearing Sweatshirts & Parkas down here . . . I thought I lived in South Florida now . . .

Yes - It's been cloudy, raining, and there are high winds - even went down into the 50's overnight and will be in the 60's again for the next few days . . . I almost feel like I'm back up North except for the fact it is so much colder up there and we are expected to get back up to the high 70's - low 80's this weekend - Thankfully . . .

IMO - No need for wearing Winter clothing - Fall maybe - It's just NOT that Cold . . . ;)
I am familiar with the phenomenon, Uncle. I can't say I understand it though.

Angel glad you got heat.

Count and uncle, after growing up in nice cold Vermont I cannot believe how when the temps hit the 50s-60s everyone in Virginia puts on the winter coats. We are in the 30s today and when I went out I saw people with coats winter hats and boots. I assume they had their long johns on as well. I could see it if one was out in the cold for a while, but these are people running from car to store. I did put on a long sleeve shirt today. We've been here 5+ years and have no idea where my winter jacket is lol

@angelphyre - Glad you your ex was able to get the heater to work. Is he going to help replace that one part?

Glad to hear the heating is working again! Have a great day!!

Angel glad you got heat.
Thanks...yeah I'm glad too because it got below freezing last night...I would have been fine in my nice warm bed, but my son might have turned into a popsicle! :p:laugh:...and yeah he's still going to try to find the part for me (might be hard because the unit is 20 years old) because it's probably going to do it again....just hoping it's not anytime soon.

I think much of it may be psychological: "It's winter--must wear scarf!" The funny part is, most of those kinds of people (at least here) are usually from colder-weather places originally. Maybe it's what they learned as children... :?:

I have yet to put on my heavy coat......only my spring jacket because of the rain.....I think it might also be because if it's cool when you leave it might get colder while you are out....maybe....just sayin'................
Later..................

JP liked because wifey came home... Hugs, prayers, and healing vibes for both you and mrs. JP.

Anyone used the Uwell crown tank. I see it has a rebuildable atty and it comes in rose gold. Rose gold is Russian and all my jewelry is rose. Would like one but wonder how it compares to the subtank!

I'm with ya, Slow. I don't understand all these wussies either. :) It got all the way UP to 26 *F here today. My jacket was unzipped and I didn't wear a hat or gloves because it was so "warm." :) :) :)

Sorry I am so late showing up today. Had to drive to the local ranch supply place (75 miles one way) to buy a new heater for the chicken waterer. The old one broke last week and I replaced it with a spare, but apparently chickens like pulling on electrical cords because they managed to break that one too and I found the entire fount frozen this morning. Because it is winter, the price was double what it should be (which really ticks me off). I got home from that "trip" and installed it, then brought in firewood (supposed to cool down in the next few days - high is expected to be maybe +6 *F and lows around -10 *F), and now it is time to go out and do evening chores. Catch y'all later tonight.

1/5 - 2: Made it, not much going on during the day; all must have gotten tired last night.
@jpf880 still more good vibes and prayers your way.
@liblue1 where there is rain there can be snow ;)
Speaking of cold weather, I doubt many of you would care to sit here with me, the house is at a comfortable 55.
