Imagine a blocking high pressure area off the Pacific coast so weather will have to go up and over (through Alaska and British Columbia) before it comes down on you, which should result in a bunch of white stuff.

Uh, isn't that what we've had for the past couple of years? It was a persistent high pressure area that redirected most of the winter storms further north of the West Coast that contributed to the lower rainfall totals--and, hence, the drought. No thanks. Sorry, Blue, I think you should look for another way to get your snow.

Sorry, Blue, I think you should look for another way to get your snow.

What you had, Count, was a blocking high over the coastline and on the continent. You are right that it rerouted all your rain over to us. A high off the coast, however, should drop it right down on top of you. Another method would be an intense Low in BC, which would sweep moisture in from the southwest to dump on you, but two bad things result: 1) the moisture will be rain, not snow, and 2) Lows never stay put like Highs can - they are always sucked away by the jet stream and the jets tend to go around the Highs and drag the Lows (and resultant weather) with them. (I really need to hurry up and post all that weather stuff)

Sorry, Count, I forgot you were in San Diego. I was thinking about Blue's location. She'd get snow from the original proposed scenario, but you likely would get nothing unless that high slipped southward without coming onshore, then it would be rain only because there wouldn't be enough cold air sucked down with it. @DaleH1985 . . . Hope things got better as the day progressed and "You're" feeling well, but just in case . . .

BTW: "Dollar General" for meds - REALLY . . .

THANKS - "My" Friend . . . Yep - Very Happy with "My" PCP and have been for quite sometime (Funny how "We" got together too, but that's another story for another time) . . . AND - Now with finding a Dentist I'm set for awhile until the next health problem rears it's head . . .

AND - On that note, today's appointment for the Nuclear Image Stress Test was a little disconcerting . . . First - Let "Me" just say if anyone tells "You" that getting a Nuclear Imaging Stress Test is no problem and easy to do - DO NOT and I MEAN DO NOT believe them . . . Although, the Technician (who shot the Radio Active Isotope Liquid into "My" arm) was an absolute sweet heart of a Woman and took great care of "Me" . . . The Doctors Nurse was not great and had to re insert the IV Needle a couple of times . . . As for the test itself, it took over 3 hours and while the first half was not to bad . . . However, by the time "We" got to the second half . . . After being injected with even more of the Radio Active Isotope Liquid into "My" arm to induce what would happen to "My" Heart after a work out - I almost had one of "My" Attacks by the time the Electrocardiogram was finally done. . . . AND - I still had to get a whole nother set of images done after that . . . NOT NICE ! ! ! Thankfully - though the Technician was very attentive and tried to help "Me" as best she could and got "Me" out of the office ASAP . . .
Anyway, Now to hear back from the Cardiologist and what the diagnose will be . . .

GOOD NEWS - Found someone reasonable and "My" Apartment is in the process of being painted

before the New Managment randomly picks apartment to inspect, which is just before the Government comes around to do the same thing (which is supposed to be a yearly thing) . . .
