I think I would also be a little nervous......I have been with a company that pulled a stunt like that...after a month they closed us up too.....sorry for that....4/1 #2
So to elaborate a little more on the work situation. The cable company I work for got sold in December. The new owners have kept quiet until yesterday. They let over 100 people from my region go and are closing 2 offices. My office wasn't affected this time, but still makes me a little nervous.

. Talk to another employee and sarcastically say I can not be sick. Tell another new employee that he pays us less than what we are worth so we stay literally hungry for food and come back. Tiggs, I think you have enough understanding of the Universe that if you will slow down your mind enough to actually think about it, you will know that nothing about your situation is going to change as long as you accept it the way it is. If you want something to change, you must do something different. It is insanity to keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results. You cannot bend your boss to your will, but you can find some other place to work that will make you happy. Maybe that boss won't wake up until you are gone, but by then, he won't be a problem in your life any more. Move forward...Make a new plan and work on leaving this
