I had all the windows opened last night....and all day yesterday....
This is something psychological many people never overcome (thinking open windows makes for cool), but the frugal temperature dudes will tell you never to open your windows to outside air UNTIL the inside temperature exceeds the outside temperature. Then, assuming there is no breeze coming in, turn on a big fan (moving air dissipates your sweat quicker, making you feel cooler). Gotta go now. Later...

Welcome to ECF @Babu888 Check out this neat contest thread where you can win some really good e-liquid just by chatting with the great folks who hang out here (see complete "rules" on page 1). Lots of fun here! Nicest people on the forum and you just might learn a thing or twelve... :)

Thanks Fuzzy.........there was a nice breeze yesterday morning/early afternoon....but that stopped by 4 PM when the sun came in and heated everything up.....I have a few fans on to bring the cooler air inside and move it through...it appears as though there is moving air outside now.......so open with a fan in the window now.....I am more worried about tonight...4-9 while the sun is shining right on/inside here.......it doesn't cool off till 11PM......and makes sleeping miserable.....
With that I think I am going to make something to eat & watch a cold movie(psychologically speaking).....have a great day everyone...I will check back in later on tonight...........
To all the CA people stay safe.....high fire danger...........

Move out. Are you serious? The population is down, move? He directs it, I take my men and get ready. We want horses only, he wants chariots. We accept, at least there can be some defense if needed. They had been gone for some time, the work and pay over. Who could blame them? They were smart moving during the night, ours wanted to do it during the day. No, but have no choice.

We go out, in the horses and chariots; it is super hot. The sun is beating down on us, the horses working hard, no water, no rest; his desire is too much. We fallow. This is not one day, it took time, they in the night, we in the sun. We tire in the sun. Thankfully the night is coming on. The horses are dead tired, we are no better. Why? Their job is done. we do not have more to pay them. They are being wise, we are not. We move during the day, our sweat on our foreheads.

The upside is that there is water soon, a fort ours. Time to restock and prepare. Not so, I had to stay back, the flame was visible in the air. No horse or man would go through that. We had to wait, nad that was fine in my mind. Let the men rest and sleep, it is not morning. The mountains and sea and all were on fire. You can not see it, but the battle is on. You want your men to sleep as well as possible. You stay up, it is late, they are sleeping. You know that they will defend you to the life, you are watching them, you want them to sleep well. It seems the next great battle is the next day.

You come to realize there was no battle, it was already decided. We had the mountains, we had the fort, even the mounts shut off a retreat route, ummm more south. south east? They are trapped, so we thought. I watched as the men got ready, the fire in the sky. It lifted, "Pharaoh" motioned us forward, He and others thought they were god's. Not me, or my men; but we did our duty and followed. Not great, the others are a strong people, they are already gone. Our fort and soldiers did nothing.:tumble:

Well got some yard work done, it was 90+today in the sun. Luckily my yard is shady, and there was a nice breeze. Kids came out and played. Repaired a step that rotted out on the front porch, and a table we use on the back porch. Hope all is well with the rest of the tree peeps not sweating to death in the heat.
Not my yard, but I did some work on this house v

It's nice and shady and cool in my family room. Parked in the recliner again stuck in front of the TV trying to rest my back. The bad news is tomorrow morning I need to try to make some money (meaning that four letter word we don't use here)

Our high today was in the mid 60's with sun most of the day and still shining.

It has been a long time since I lived in midwestern summer heat - don't think I could do it again.
I travel now and then to warm spots - fine to visit.

Back home from the Art and Music festival. We (and some other parents) had the distinct pleasure of having to be there for the entire program: our 5th graders play instruments, so they were asked to provide musical accompaniment to the 1st graders (who sang first). Then the 5th graders sang (again with musical accompaniment). Then it was time for orchestra/band to perform--which meant we were in the auditorium for another 45 minutes. After that, we had about an hour until the last class, the 2nd graders, performed. Of course, being the conscientious school citizens that we are, we stayed to help clean up (both the auditorium and the play area). Whew!
