I'm kinda nervous right now. My sister got me round trip airfare to Texas next week to go down and visit with my Mom, she hasn't been doing real good lately, she's going to be 84 this year. It's probably been 4 years since I've seen her so I'm excited about that but Wifey is not doing well enough to go so I'm worried about her.

Whew! Finally back on... I noticed I had some trouble loading ECF pages this morning after my first round of posts, but all the other sites I visited were running fine, so I assumed it was just ECF going through one of its phases. Finally, when it was 3 pm and I still couldn't get on (and I hadn't heard from Blue, who usually asks if the site is up when she can't get on), I decided to try accessing from a different browser. ECF popped up right away. Huh. Closed out of all of my windows and tabs and restarted and ECF is back. Must have been some crazy ad that was doing it, because a couple of the tabs seemed to be hanging on my ad-blocker.

Still running slow...........

This is something psychological many people never overcome (thinking open windows makes for cool), but the frugal temperature dudes will tell you never to open your windows to outside air UNTIL the inside temperature exceeds the outside temperature. Then, assuming there is no breeze coming in, turn on a big fan (moving air dissipates your sweat quicker, making you feel cooler). Gotta go now. Later...

That's exactly what I do! Also, if it's a cool night before an expected hot day, I leave my windows open, with fans blowin' the cool air in, and batten down the hatches in the mornin'.
