Good morning, everyone.
Wow, quiet around here for a drawing morning. Chirp chirp, Lol!
That's because some of us tried to sleep in...
I'm trying to help my home care nurse to quit smoking. I gave her an Ego with a small battery and a drip tipand e-liquid, of course 1 Her initial reaction was that she like the taste of Banyan Tree and that she liked the size. She found my eleaf ans subohm tank to heavy ans cumbersome.
I'm not well-versed in some of the starter configurations these days.... but there are two things to consider for a new vaper. One is what most vapers consider: flavor. We've all tested configurations, tried tootling and sub-ohming, big tanks, little drippers, and various-sized mods and have come up with something that works for us.
But the other consideration for a new vaper is size. I'll be honest: I didn't start vaping to quit smoking. I liked smoking. But the cost of cigarettes kept going up and my curiosity had been piqued, ironically, about local news stories talking about how children were being lured by flavors, et al. I bought an ego kit and some flavors so that "I could save money"

... but eventually lost my taste for cigarettes. The bottom line: at the time I did not want something that looked too different than a cigarette (although I had previously tried a friend's cigalike and new that it wouldn't work). Something the size and shape of an ego is not too different and one can put up with the weight difference....
I'm gathering that your home care nurse did not approach you about quitting, but is merely curious (and may yet still get to quitting). Considering that, I wouldn't through anything too big or boxy at her. A Twist/Spinner type of battery (I really liked the Innokin iTaste vv/vw v3s, but even the v4s are becoming difficult to find) and a smaller tank (many will scoff, but I liked the Evod Glass clearomizers--use the same heads as the Kanger Aerotank for when I wanted something larger) would be good. Of course, as I said, I'm not quite as familiar as with what's around now...
