    Looking for suggestions, please !

I'm trying to help my home care nurse to quit smoking. I gave her an Ego with a small battery and a drip tipand e-liquid, of course 1 Her initial reaction was that she like the taste of Banyan Tree and that she liked the size. She found my eleaf ans subohm tank to heavy ans cumbersome. I just want her to quit smoking or to reduce her cigarette use.

    Any suggestions?

How about a Pico starter kit with Melo?

Last week I gifted an acquaintance with 2 vision spinners with charger, some older protanks, extra coils, and a selection of juice. For a 1st timer she liked the setup. I haven't had any help calls so far and I did give her the ecf website. I'll follow up with her next week to check how it is going.

Maybe an eleaf istick with a PT2 or 3 tank - still small, more battery life and works great. I still use that set up even though I also subohm.

The Pico/Melo set up like Phil said is nice - mine sees daily use.

I too am pondering what the next step might be for my friend if she decides that vaping is working for her. I have a few ego one tanks on order to try. The affordability of the tanks and the replacement coils along with the fact that the CLR coils can be rebuilt. I too think Isticks make a great intro mod but will have her try out my collection with replaceable 18650 batteries for hand feel.

Anything good GMO, make the batteries last long with a good sized tank, if your juice is in it; what is the worry; smoke time done. Remember the rules of vaping, whatever she is smoking you need to upgrade the nic level for her one notch to "simulate" the cigarette feeling. And remind her it will take four or five hits to get the nicotine in her system. Let her take her time, when she needs the hit, it is the nicotine right; not all the other crude.

For an All-in-one - I would suggest an Innokin be it the T18 or T22 . . . VERY EASY TO USE . . . Top fill tanks and premade coils that are extremely easy to clean (Mainly just in hot water if using the same "E-Liquid") and refill . . . I've been using both since I got out of the hospital . . . Just Sayin' . . .

    Good morning, everyone.

Wow, quiet around here for a drawing morning. Chirp chirp, Lol!
That's because some of us tried to sleep in... ;)

I'm not well-versed in some of the starter configurations these days.... but there are two things to consider for a new vaper. One is what most vapers consider: flavor. We've all tested configurations, tried tootling and sub-ohming, big tanks, little drippers, and various-sized mods and have come up with something that works for us.

But the other consideration for a new vaper is size. I'll be honest: I didn't start vaping to quit smoking. I liked smoking. But the cost of cigarettes kept going up and my curiosity had been piqued, ironically, about local news stories talking about how children were being lured by flavors, et al. I bought an ego kit and some flavors so that "I could save money"... but eventually lost my taste for cigarettes. The bottom line: at the time I did not want something that looked too different than a cigarette (although I had previously tried a friend's cigalike and new that it wouldn't work). Something the size and shape of an ego is not too different and one can put up with the weight difference....

I'm gathering that your home care nurse did not approach you about quitting, but is merely curious (and may yet still get to quitting). Considering that, I wouldn't through anything too big or boxy at her. A Twist/Spinner type of battery (I really liked the Innokin iTaste vv/vw v3s, but even the v4s are becoming difficult to find) and a smaller tank (many will scoff, but I liked the Evod Glass clearomizers--use the same heads as the Kanger Aerotank for when I wanted something larger) would be good. Of course, as I said, I'm not quite as familiar as with what's around now...
