Back in the old days, we didn't have air conditioning in school. Made sense to wait and possibly have a few degrees cooler weather. My high school finished installing A/C just after I graduated ('88). :-x

Getting tired of being the one man show at work. I'm not even fully spun up on what needs to be done - have somehow managed to not cause too many problems (and they were fixable).
Should only be spending half of tomorrow at the office before heading to the picnic.

8/4 - 4: Good night Mandi, and hope the half day is good Mac. Blue thought it was because GMO was talking about homemade red beans and rice, that I got in the mood. When I went to school there was one full week off for spring break and two weeks for Christmas through the New Year, for about three years and then it changed yearly according to the skiing trips being planned by those on the board and the "Snow days."

@diabolique Glad she's feeling at least a bit better. That's good.

@Zipslack I'm going to have to look for that. Sounds pretty neat.

Down to an hour here at W for today, then back tomorrow morning. Actually off the weekend but only because I'm going out of town.

Hope everyone is enjoying the evening. Catch ya later.

After spending quite a bit of time on the phone today with folks in New York City I have been doing a bit of reading on how regional accents develop and morph.
I am sure all the people I talked with today thought I talk very strangely.

Oh, man! I just found out about the new Evic VTC Dual - a VTC Mini with different back options to use it as 1x18650 for 75W or 2x18650 for 150W. Better dump some more money into my "vaping" fund...:w00t:

There's all kinds of new stuff coming out right now since the deadline is Monday. Kanger has a new DNA mod with stabilized wood. 75 Watts. Looks beautiful and I don't remember where I saw it but it was only sixty nine bucks

My kids' elementary school still doesn't have air-conditioning--but part of the District's decision to adjust the calendar is because "every school has A/C." Yeah right.

I don't know whether my daughter's middle school will have a/c--but I suspect not because it is older and near the coast...

...the fireworks on Labor Day were always bittersweet for that reason... school started shortly thereafter.
A speedy recovery and healing for your daughter, @diabolique .
I am scaring myself silly watching Stranger Things on Netflix. They are nailing everything about the early '80's ...
rotary phones with long cords ...cassette players and turntables.... and the way they talk... do I really talk like that?? (..yes... )
    Child of the '80's

    Good Evening Treefam!
Its time for me to call it a night.
I am going to head out tomorrow and visit my son and his wife and 2 daughters for the first few days. and finish up my visit with my daughter once she has had a chance to recoup over the next few days.
I am so glad I don't have to worry about school and back to school shopping any more. Good Luck with all of that kind of stuff.
    Catch you all tomorrow!
    Have a Good Night!
