@Mandikay Stay safe, be careful. That's so sad about the animal shelter. Hope you remain above water!

Just enough rain here to make it humid and wet. Don't wanna be in, but don't wanna be outside.

Hope everyone has a decent evening and I'll catch ya later.

8/13 - 3: seems appropriate. I have not seen it, I am a liar? Our house was a learning center, books upon books, upon books. You did not have to read, you could if you wanted to..... Age appropriate, as far as a mother and father could tell..... remember my first did her first multiplication problem at age two, and solved it on her own.... Not forced by me,,, her mind...... Hmmm a first job? Day two? If you could see her eyes.

Brain surgeon, or veterinarian, FBI thinker? Who of my children?..... right.

8/13 - 4: Not sleeping yet @KatzWh1skers .... ask me about death? ask me about loss of family? ask me if I am lying? Photos or video's , which will be deleted.... ask me if I care for veterans? Gosh still not asleep, the story question again..... soon no more than you want from me.

How tragic, you will see soon, in the story......

That is horrible news about the animal shelter. Stay safe, @Mandikay! Water is no joke, and even a few inches of fast-moving water can sweep you away. As for flooding... yikes!

Retiring for the day. Good night, Treefam! (And rest up, heal, stay afloat, etc....)

I tought I taw a puddy tat.
The quail starting making a ruckus in the back.
Walked out on the deck and there was a bobcat crossing my backyard and strolling down the hill.
I kept looking to make sure it wasn't one of the oversized neighborhood unmentionables but it was definitely a bobcat.
That is the first one I have seen at the house.
Wish I had my camera handy.

A good and peaceful and safe evening for all.

I'm having to rebuild a load of single-coil Protank coils for my SO who has decided that she'd like to start vaping to help her appetite and to aid in mental alertness at work - the Vype I got her is about to expire, and there's no way I'm buying any cartridges for that thing...

I spent a lot of time rebuilding those things over the years. Got pretty good at it too. They just clog up way too fast. I would rewick them every other day.

Good morning everyone. Probably won't be on much, the cable and internet are down. So I'm using cell phone data which I don't have much left so I'm trying to conserve, not sure how long we will be stuck here like this. The flooding continues to get worse in our area, I've never seen flooding so bad. We are pretty much stuck on a little island of land that didn't flood. The only way in and out is a boat. It sucks it because we really live paycheck to paycheck and we missed work Friday and yesterday already and no telling when things will be anywhere near back to normal so we can go to work. I feel bad complaining though I need to just remember to be thankful we are still alive and so far our place isn't under water. Because sadly some lives have been lost and almost everyone I knows house is under water.
@angelphyre I'm so glad y'all are safe down there!

Well let me get off this cell phone data. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday

@Mandikay thoughts are with you and hoping the waters recede quickly and that you and your family stay safe.
Hopefully the deluge stopped and the worst is over for your area.
Unfortunately, per the news, the storm is moving northeast along with the flood warnings.

Didn't sleep good and that resulted in getting up late. At least I'm not as sore as I was last night. Need to do a little cooking today and get out to the store.
Been raining pretty steady here the last couple days with more on the way - flood watches/warnings are out for the area.
The bike is ready to ride but not gonna happen til it gets dry again.
