slm, You might be surprised what you can nab last minute on the right site ....and if you're not particular..Ireland and Scotland are nice too. (gotcher passport?! )..and with a week off...enough time to travel by car to London (there are ferries that run between the UK and Ireland) ..or the Belgium route..but be prepared..I heard there are 4 hr waits to get thru security at the London Heathrow airport ...well...we can dream

How did you know I was doing research about England and the Celts?
Scotland and Ireland?

@KatzWh1skers I lived in southern Ohio almost 2 years growing up when I was young! Wheelersburg if you've heard of it. Basically Portsmouth. I remember going to the Serpent Mounds back then but wow, that's been a long time ago!

Hummm... A trip to a cave could be cool! I haven't been in a cave in a long time either!

Now, seriously, I'm gonna go out for a bit. I'll check in soon.

That's probably the cave I vaguely remember from childhood! I know we used to go acros the river to Kentucky for dinner out!

I'm in NE Ohio now. Been here almost all my life, other than that short stint down southern Ohio way, Lol!

It'll be dinner out here this evening and movie night with my buddy. Looking forward to both, Lol!

Dozed a bit but didn't really sleep.
Picking up my friend in a bit then we're off to take the ferry to Sausalito, have lunch and hopefully catch the Blue Angels show on the way back.

Sounds like a lovely day. The weather was sure perfect for it!
I'll be staying in SF this weekend. I forgot about fleet week. Glad I'm bringin' ear plugs!
