Good morning, everyone.

@Mandikay, have you tried using a body pillow? For me, I will sometimes throw my shoulder (which has been injured numerous times) out of whack when I toss and turn. The body pillow helps me from moving so much when I suspect I'll have a restless night: in some cases I just won't move; in others, it inhibits me enough that I stir in order to re-arrange myself. Just a thought.

Good Mornin' / G'Night and Good Vibes Tree Fam !
Good morning, everyone.

I spent most of yesterday in the emergency room with my mother. She slipped on the stairs and now has a compression fracture in one of her lower vertebra. Looks like it will be a long hospital stay and rehab--and may be the end of her days of living alone. :( I'll be going back today--as well as collecting things for her at the house, finding all the bills that need to be paid (it's getting to be about that time of the month), and--oh!--coaching my son's soccer team.
Yikes, how painful and scary, I'm sorry that happened. I'm wishin' her a speedy recovery and sendin' you strength for all you need to do.

TGIF for me!

Have a FABulous day, everyone!

Sending out positive thoughts for all.
It looks like it will be another week before I am back to 100% - all viral and nothing to do but rest, eat healthy, and let nature take its course.
May have to work a few hours today but hopefully can do that from home.

Good afternoon. I managed a bit more sleep but not much so I got up and got coffee and got to adulting. I W tomorrow myself.

At least it's a decent day here finally. Mostly sunny and 51°F. The breeze makes it feel cooler but it's a nice fall day.

10/28 - 3: Well will have to put two together, today we worked in a house of an NFL player. Down to earth residence though. They are away for their wedding anniversary and he wanted to surprise her with better lighting. So changed all the bulbs to LED, and added three 2X2 LED lights in the grid about 18 feet in the air. We cut the sheetrock and everything looks good except one thing, a fireblock made of metal is in our way for the three way switch. Uh oh, when you cut a hole people expect a plug or switch working there. Thinking time.

So the picture I took was to talk about longhorns and their actual nasty nature, if you want to take a picture of one, please do it behind the fence. Those who go over to get closer find out that the longhorns realize they have long horns......

Our solution, we notice the industrial boxes up top and open it, fortunately the metal pipe coming down was oversized. So we cut a hole up top above the grid in the living room, feed the wire through then strip it so it would fit, and down the pipe. Once down we cut through the bottom box back into the stud space towards the living room and feed the wire through. Whew was a close one.

10/28 - 4: I remember...... the world series is really hard to pick; if you know baseball history. But going with Cleveland, and on that note while thinking of it. Have you ever seen the movie Frequency with Jim Caviezel? Great show, if you have not.....

Out there has a little friend show up a four inch centipede, it did not make it. Sorry outside things are depending on what they are free to roam, but I was taught in the house, no no. goodbye.

They had many dogs, and two became friends with me instantly. One a blue heeler and looked like an Australian Kelpie? big ears. there was one fly by me on the wall, the dog about thirty feet away and could hear it. So as I work it is waiting most of the time, just waiting and watching, within feet of me. I am moving tall ladders, heavy stuff it lays there. "I am safe." I feel worried about it, this is heavy dude.

Clean up time, I am grabbing the cut little pieces of wire, stripped outer jackets, the dog is right beside me, and raising it's right paw, ears to the ground. I move, a paw down. I laugh and grab some more, paw down. We start to play. The dog so wants to get that "Whatever." it is. So I get real silent and take a piece of plastic and move it on the ground. The dog becomes fascinated with it, head turning listening to the sound. Surprise the evil plastic comes up, and the dog opens it's mouth teeth bared, paw moving and it is thinking hard.

Down again to the paw, but he will not move, stone cold and waiting. I bait him and finally a lunge, and the romex plastic was his. I took it away fast though. So I continue to clean up and my better than friend is following me everywhere more closely. I go to the living room to clean some more and he comes by me and is ready for play time. A good back and forth, never once bite at me, but showed teeth, and even played half dead to get me back. It was a hoot. :thumb:

Squonkers aint so rare or pricey as they used to be katz, i picked up a dripbox (the plain v1) for nothin from a local vaper, and have recently ordered a coppervape full mech with a spare parts kit and free shipping on ft for less than $40. The other stuff aint so bad. Yeah ,its a little p.i.t.a. but really im doing ok. Kids are ok, last wedding anniversary is monday. All is good, i like keeping busy, the hours pass faster that way.

No wonder your back is hurting, @KatzWh1skers! I hope the back pain isn't too bad...

Well, my mother was admitted to the hospital proper today (from the Emergency Department). I start going over some things with the Doctor when the case worker shows up and says that my mom will likely be discharged tomorrow. That complicates things because it is recommended that she have physical therapy and some skilled nursing, but that is only covered by Medicare if she is in the hospital for three days--and being in the Emergency room for two days doesn't count. However, they won't release her until there is a safe discharge plan in place which requires either a home caregiver or placement into an assisted living facility--either of which is something that I have to set up. Oh, and they told me this on Friday afternoon....

Based on the information that I have, I think I've got everything set up (I also had to sign my mother up for a primary care physician, since she didn't have one) as far as I can go. Now I just have to find out what her hospital status is tomorrow--and figure out how to pick her up, get her settled at home (in her third-story bedroom), get the balls rolling with regard to home service, and coach a soccer game (and drive across town to watch another one, as well). Should be rather busy...

Speaking of tomorrow, I believe another winner may be picked. So do the usual posting (early and often!) and think up the ECFer you plan on picking for an introduction to GMO's juice.

Good night, Treefam!
