Spades game is easy in this way, all cards are passed out, in Mexican two 2's are tossed aside. If you have the Ace, King, Queen and Jake of the spades you have four wins. Each suit has four just like it. You have to lay down a card of the suit played, if caught you go back 100 points. Each round goes around clockwise, and makes you the last to bid. So as you hear each other bidding before you and believe them, or sandbagging. You can bid zero. If you do not win one suit you get 100, if you did not look at your cards while listening and bid nello and get
zero suits you win 200. The limit is set before the game usually 1,000 points.
Anyone up for a game? Sure we can find a on-line version? Yes Katz road trips are nice; had a few. One to Colorado for the Nascar race; watched it on the TV and when they do the boost it up, you turn your speakers up as loud as you can. No match to being there in person, with earplugs in we were six seats to the left of the line and 12 seats up. With earplugs you could still hear it and feel it.
After a yellow flag and the cars bunch up and finally green again, when on TV they say "Crank it up." In person, wow..... you could feel the wind push past you by the cars, and the sound. Like its own heartbeat, thump thump thump, pushing you back in your seat. One day on my bucket list is to see one game of NFL live and just embrace the crowd; another to go to Rome and see the coliseums and that history.
So anyone up for a game of spades?
