Glad to hear the wife is doing better Jables. :thumbs:

Blue, that is awfully early...good luck at work today. :)

Have severe storms headed our way...looks like most of it should come and go while I'm at work, so hopefully won't have to be out in it much...time to grab another cup of coffee and finish getting ready...Hope everyone has a great day. :)

Good morning, everyone.

Well, things sure went downhill yesterday... I took my son to the birthday party he was attending--we returned to find my wife bailing out the upstairs shower and toilet. Apparently something had become a major clog upstairs while my daughter was taking a shower. The first my wife knew of it was when water started dripping through the ceiling into the kitchen (my daughter, of course, had blithely gone about taking her long shower even though she noticed it wasn't draining). Water was everywhere upstairs--and I was unable to find any clog with the snake that we have.... We got things mopped up and dried as best as we could and turned on the fans to dry out a section of carpet that also got damp. Decided to wait to call the plumber so that we didn't have to pay emergency rates...

So, we are currently down to one toilet that flushes and two sinks (the downstairs bathroom and the kitchen sink).

My wife and daughter head out for the birthday party to which she was invited.... but they come home half an hour early: my daughter had gotten sick at the party and wasn't feeling well. Upon arriving home, she runs to the bathroom (the downstairs one that still works) and throws up. My wife is telling me the story when her own face turns green and she runs to the bathroom to join my daughter. There's no functioning water upstairs (well, there is, but there's no way to drain it), so they both got to sleep on the couch, while my son and I fled upstairs so that we don't pick up what they have.

Oh yeah--and I finally got to watch the game. Another loss in the 4th. Figures... (go ahead and root for the Browns, Tiggs--I don't mind).

Glad your wife is doing better, @Vaping!!!Jables!

Hope w is fun @liblue1 That doesn't sound terrible.

@Mandikay Hope all is well with the doctor!

@CountBoredom Wow, rough day! Positive thoughts to your wife and daughter for a speedy recovery. Hope you can get the drain situation sorted out! I hate plumbing work. Hopefully not too much damage was done to the ceiling and it will dry with out molding. Heep an eye on that from what I've heard.

I'm at W with coffee and it M day... Let's see how this goes! Catch y'all later. Hope it's a good day!

Yeah. We're actually seeing a few damp spots on the ceiling this morning, so some of the water must have seeped through along some of the beams. Fortunately, humidity has been very low for the past couple of days (and remains so today--although not quite as much), so I'm hoping it will dry out quickly (less chance of mold). As soon as I feel that the upstairs carpet is sufficiently dry, I'll be directing the fans to the downstairs ceiling.

Damn when it rains it pours(or floods). I hope your women feel better. I'm on break at work and I just got a call from my wife that have a busted pipe. So I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow. Everyone else take care I'll talk atcha later.

12/5 - 3: W day down, will mention one thing only. I swear younger kids have no work ethic, two go running when the trucks need to be packed or unpacked. Today one guy was loading supplies and everyone bailed on him, I am thinking we are to be a team and help. One young man, who punched the wall, was gone just long enough for us to finish. Then has the audacity to call me out by name and "Hey pick up and move that pallet." Without missing a beat I said back. "You can move that pallet." And then he began to whine while he did it, guess he wanted to find out if I would allow him to supervise over me, though he is not one.
:tumble::tumble:
Sorry Jables and Count (ouch) I think plumbing may be one of the things I detest the most if not the most.

Must be the time for plumbing problems. Over the weekend the sink in the office break room somehow busted a pipe. Luckily someone happened to go in for some reason and spotted it. Only a small flooded area on our floor and some minor leaking to the floor below - blower fans on the carpet all day. Then today the women's lavatory on the floor had some problems and it was closed.

On a good note - my carry card got here today.
