I'm really happy and satisfied with my setups and liquids so the unending search for "stuff" has kinda ebbed. So I was bored and went back to my very first post on ECF, then kept reading.

Wow. I mean, wow. So, so, so much has changed since then. People say vaping is a journey, and it's true. My mind has been opened to so many other things that branch off from just quitting smoking. Political activism. Aligning myself morally with a cause I believe in. Working in a job where at the end of the sale the man genuinely shakes my hand. vaping has [Chris Traeger]literally[/Chris Traeger] changed my life. From top to bottom. In every way!

Who else has gone back and re-traced their evolution to where they are today? I'm sure another veteran poster has already created a thread like this, and if a mod wants to merge, cool beans.

Oh my gosh - such a journey/evolution. And so rapid. From the frustration of searching for a juice I could tolerate, to DIY'ing my own. From plastic clearos and eGo batteries to rebuildable drippers and sub ohming. From trying to figure it all out, to helping others to quit smoking.

Amazing, and I am glad to say, I love vaping so much more than cigarettes... I would never go back for any amount of money.

We started in 2010 and I didn't get converted. Gave up and went cold turkey for 6 months. The wife spent a lot of time on this forum and bought a lot of DIY stuff. Now she laughs when she sees me here on the forum, 6-8 half full tanks, bathroom counter covered in DIY, bottles of tester and steeping and ADV and yuck...
And we are learning VV/VW and top coil and bottom coil and opening the wrong end and...

It's funny you just posted this...... I did the same thing last night.
Some of my first few posts seemed like yesterday to me and to realize it has been almost two years kinda blows my mind. When I first registered here, I was in shock that something could allow me to quit smoking so easily, and had an absolute joy in that accomplishment.
I had forgotten that feeling was able to revisit it again.

You're scaring me....

I know what I was asking in my first posts, I was trying to identify my threading and if it was a 501 or 410 thread....

I remember posting how excited I was when I upgraded to a 650 mah fixed voltage eGo w/ Type-B atty, life was good...:vapor:

This is almost spooky Stosh. One of my first posts was asking what the difference was between eGo and 510 threads. Then I got a 650 mah fixed voltage eGo-C 'tank' starter kit.

Still have one of those two batteries for stealth/backup use.

Wow 93 posts in 6 years...that has got to be some kind of record low post count. :D
Glad you came back and found what you were looking for, even if it did take years.

Great stuff Mooby! I went out to the grocery store to get teabags right after watching your video. The tabag filler worked really good for me but really only when I managed to roll it up in just the precisely right width. If was a smidge too large the layers would distort leaving an open space in the center of the cart right where the attie bridge makes contact.

Solution (for me): After rolling and folding into shape, I hold the folded end between tweezers and use scissors to cut a slit about halfway down the length of the opposite ends. Once inserted in the cart there are no more voids in the material and the attie makes great contact. You can still clean and reuse. I just don't unfold it to do so. I just rinse out under running water, pat it dry on a paper towel and go.

That's probably about my 20th post. Talking about a pyramid teabag mod to the old 510 cartridges, not to be confused with cartomizers. I'd never thought about going back and reading my early posts. Kinda like time travel.

My first posts, I was still buying into the SmartSmoke crap. You probably haven't heard of them. Over-priced, semi-proprietary crap that they try to pass off as American made. 808D-2 and maybe a 510 eGo, but maybe another inner thread instead. Never bought that far into them.

My journey consisted of me realizing I preferred regulated autos over manuals, to looking for the best mini, to today where I realize that dripping has always been where it is at for me and finally pulling the plug on getting a bottom feeder. Along the way I've given a lot of advice, and done a ton of research. I hope some of it has been helpful to someone.

It will be interesting to see where I'm at in a year. This time last year, I barely understood what dripping was and had zero inteest in bottom feeders. I was still trying to make CE4's work on my Echo.

I just checked mine out. Apparently I was complaining about the less than satisfying taste experiences with a random CE4 type clearo. Well, i still stand by that, that clearo sucks :2cool: I also wanted to write a reply to myself From the freaking future!! in case me in a parallel universe should somehow get his ethernet cables mixed up but the thread is closed :/
