Hey guys, just trying to get some posts so I can post my question to the istick 50w mod thread, but I see there are a number of hoops I must jump through first. Maybe there's a moderator sifting through this that can help me, so I'll just blast this question out to the n00b ether...

Anyone tried to run a 7.4v KISS cart from UP tech/w9 tech on their 50w istick? I know that as a vv/vw, as the resistance changes in the atty, my voltage may change, but man... I get numbers all over the place. I'll be vaping at 7.4v, and I'm not getting much vapor half way through; look down and I'm at like 4v... ...? Similarly, while using the 3.7v KISS cart the other day, I looked down andwas vaping at 4-ish volts. I lock my up/down buttons to make sure I can't f things up, what gives? Anyone else have whacky things happen w/ their istick 50w?

At 2 separate points, the vape kicked itself off, and one I got a sub 0.1 ohm warning (low atomizer). When I spoke to Rockymountainvape.com about the device's performance, they told me to fully drain and power back up. No problem, except I don't vape e-juice all day long. ....'s gross, and I'd be smoking the equivalent of packs upon packs of cigarettes, which I quit recently. I don't see how vaping Chinese eJuice would be much better for me (local shops don't carry any classy ejuice), and I'm not really looking for a new habit. Any quick fixes to get my battery drained? A 510 threaded flash bulb or something? LOL?

I should add that they said they don't have the color I want in stock right now, but if I need to swap the unit, they will swap it as soon as one is in stock; Also, it took 2 days for delivery. So while they don't provide a manufacturer's warranty, they certainly seem to stand by their 30 day warranty, going so far as to extend it a little past the 30 day mark if they dont have the unit in stock at that time. Classy. Let's hope they stand by their assurance.

It may be a problem with the adapter you're using. Have you tried a regular 510 threaded atty on the istick? I know the KISS Carts are M601 threaded and require an adapter to use on the istick, and the adapter may not be making a solid connection with either the istick or the cart.

Alternatively, no one told you that you need an adapter and it's simply a problem of using a M601 threaded cart in a 510 threaded mod. If no one told you, you need one of these:

Vaporizer, Vape Pen, Thread Adapters 510-601

Sounds like a problem with your KISS cart.

The iStick is adjusting itself to the ohms of your coil and the wattage or voltage you set the iStick to. So if you are in wattage mod and your volts are jumping around its because the ohms in your KISS cart are jumping around.

Is the KISS cart a rebuildable?

Edit: Didn't realize you had to use an adapter. That interface may be the problem as @Complelely Average said.
