Has anyone had issues with kayfun v4 juice control not working??
It shuts off well...but open doesn't always allow flow... At times I have to open both my top cap (as if filling) and the JC to allow what seems 50 million air bubbles to rise suddenly, then try & close the JC again before it floods, then close the topcap & reopen JC... It's a bit of a pain tbh!!
NB: Tobeco clone here as well :)

In my defense.. It looks like the clone has it backwards from the authentic... I discovered it quite by accident when I "forgot to open it" and was like 5 hits in... Yep :l

I have the Tobeco KFV4 and the juice control ring opens counter-clockwise and closes clockwise as viewed from the bottom. Some will think it odd, but mine leaks less or none at all if I remove the coil deck and fill from the bottom. I think they will all weep a bit if you carry it around in a pants pocket where body heat expands the juice a little.

I probably need to replace all the o-rings at once from my rebuild kit and see if that makes it leak proof. I've replaced #16 and #18 and still it weeps sometimes and not others. Most of the time it's only a dampness on the finger that hits the fire button on my iStick 50W and I can see a juice film on the bottom where it screws into the 510 connector.

I got my Tobeco a few days ago.
After replacing O-Ring #16 with a spare from my Aqua V2 clone and completely removing the airflow screw -- I'm enjoying it much more now. No more leakage (before it would seep from the JFC when I would open then close juice control the first time after filling and intermittently between) and the tank is less wobbly with juice control opened.

I read this somewhere in the big thread the other day, but it makes it simple for me to think about:

To close the juice control for re-filling, turn the atomizer body as if you were removing it from the mod. To open it, screw the atomizer like you were installing it to the mod. Works well for me.

Yep! Just think of it in the same direction as the drip tip you have to unscrew to fill it. Closed is the tip coming off, then when you put the tip back on just keep turning it and youll reopen the juice control in one swoop!

Also something to remember I always forget.. If youre ever having trouble removing the base, make sure the juice control is open! Ive gotten a little angry at mine a few times I couldnt get my deck off and it always turns out I have the JC closed which pushes the base up against the chimney and that deck will not come off with it closed.

Sounds logical.

So apparently my JC is stripped - it won't go down/open fully. Didn't sound so dreadful, I thought I'd compensate with wicking more carefully - yep, got a dry hit out of nowhere with no warning, and it buckled me over hacking up a lung. I'm sad now.

Update

I stripped out the threads in my juice control by being an idiot, thought the tank was finished - found a workaround and am posting about my own idiocy in case I'm not the only one :D

Re stripped threads, it wouldn't open or close - wouldn't even stay "locked" open - well, the screw between the JC & the 510 is obviously essential to make a connection, but was putting too much pressure on my messed up JC for it to stay closed, so I clamped it in a vice overnight - reduced tension just enough. I screwed the JC closed (had to push down hard while turning for the threads to connect at all) and it finally stayed.
I was nervous about top filling with JC locked open, but have yet to have a leak - I actually have to leave my top cap open just a bit when vaping to let the juice move at all (this I had to do even before I messed up the JC - in fact, this is what convinced me I needed to mess with the JC in the first place, and how I messed it up!)

I have a feeling that this experience is half my own idiocy (stripping the threads) and half a lemon (juice flow issue even on full open)... And the odds of anyone else having these combined things is I'm sure quite low... But in case it helps anyone anytime, there it is :)

I would buy the tank again if I had it to do over, don't let my experience turn anyone off this tank, just be careful not to strip it as I did... I just couldn't afford another right now (just upgraded a ton, Tesla 120, Tobeco Tobh atty, Smok Caterpillar, Lemo 2, and Tobeco Kayfun V4 plus another istick for my dad) and couldn't afford to rebuy. So I am willing to work around my own mess to make this tank work because I love the flavor on it :)
