how differently designed is the top of the ss lt verses the regular one? not sure i understand why it not fit

Totally different. Can't show you link here, of course, cause its in another forum. But it is designed with a build in ego connection... it does have that deep well for the ego skirts to fit into, whereas the originals were flat top, and all needed an adapter. I think its just not deep enough for them to actually make connection and screw in. BUT I'm thinking that '510 mini extender' will raise the part that you screw into just enough that the well will be deep enough to let it screw in.

ah ok i am only fimilar with the flat top. the mini extender gets you about 1/4 of an inch should work nice with the stardust. might leave a tiny gap at the bottom i dont know how deep the connector is in the head lol. but that wont work for a c8 or anything that only has the ego threads...

Perfect! Then I think it'll be perfect with this. Actually, I might pm you with a link to show you the connection if you don't mind, since you're familiar with the extender. Would that be ok? I've got a bunch of people waiting to hear if these are likely to work or not, and I'm thrlled to send em to Chris. lol

((looking around to see if its quiet)) mod, you here? here's the crazy kissy photo I promised you. And for anyone who didn't catch it last night... I had to take a photo to go with this dig art thing I got asked to do for a zine cover. I HATE cameras, and hate being the subject more, but I didn't have any choice in the matter. My buddy, who's the editor, swore she'd use this worse than dmv license photo she had if I didn't take a new one. lol So I set mine up to take a series of 10 shots at 2 second intervals. Somehow I ended up with this crazy kissy face, while I was switching positions. My first thought when I saw it was 'heh. Modrod would appreciate that.' rofl Anyway, this is NOT the one I ended up going with, of course. rofl

And thanks, hon. lol My lips are on the large side... was even my nickname in high school... but they're not quite as ludicrous as they looked in that photo. rofl Nor is my nose as large. Was an odd pic.. but I'm glad you got a kick out of it, since that was the purpose in posting. rofl
