I was putting my gear up and noticed leaking at the end. If you're going to try blowing into one of these, I suggest using a short 510-to-510 extender that is sealed.
Yo, later.

Might be because you blew into it too hard. I'm doing really light short puffs into it and I'm not getting juice on the connection. I check it occasionally. There's probably some sort of sweet spot we have to find.

Okay, so I discovered something interesting. With the Cryptonite 8 Version 3s we tested in Alpha, one of the ways to get it to wick properly was to blow into it rather than taking a primer puff. So, I tried it with these. Don't have to blow into it hard, just small and light.

This is working well for me also...

I struggled at first... it would work ok after the initial prime by dripping two drops and then after about 4 hits, it would start towards the dry hit. I then let it set for over 30 minute and again I was getting good flavor/vapor but only for about 4-5 hits and it would start going towards a dry hit taste followed shortly by actual dry hits...

After blowing as BonnyC suggested, I could see bubbles come out of the holes and could continue vaping getting good flavor/vapor again...

So, this Penguin just tried to blow a raven.

I put the tank on that's been sitting full of juice since yesterday when all this mess started. Took a couple hits off of it until I just started detecting dry hits. Gave it a little blow. Didn't really seem to help. Gave it a harder blow and I saw bubbles come out. That helped but it didn't last long.

This tank is only half full (I emptied it a bit yesterday thinking it would help with some vacuum issue) when I bring it up and tilt it towards my mouth one of the air holes is out of the juice. I wouldn't think that would make a difference since I'm still pressurizing the chamber; but then I stop blowing and it probably renormalizes before I take a hit. So I tried carefully to hold it upright during the blow and that did the trick. It's getting about 4-5 good (good flavor, good vapor) hits before I have to blow again. I had to dig out a knuckle headed drip tip to keep it upright more easily.

In the end it's not really worth it though because I keep forgetting to pressurize the chamber and those dry hits hurt!

Hi all,
I've been vaping for about 3 1/2 months & for past 2 months been using, almost exclusively, BC CE3's. When I saw Lord Davons beta test video for Raven I was, like all of us, very excited to have a bottom coil tank. I had tried a DCT, but filler taste was not for me, YUCK! I tried stardusts & E1's, but with a VG heavy juice preference top coils just weren't for me. If you search youtube for "CE3 tank mod" you will see that i sacrificed the tube from that DCT carto to make a phoenix tank. That performed better than these unfortunately :( The blowing trick works and there seems to be a "trick" to every delivery system out there. Even BC CE3's require primer puffs. Just my 2 cents, kind of a let down that these perform poorly. Was so excited for my vapemail until late last night I checked forum to see what initial reaction to these was. Open package & filled with much trepadation, not that usual kid on christmas feeling... Raven's work, just not real well. About an hour into it, more later, hoping break-in period improves.

Ive followed this thread all day and was not lookin gforwrd to trying these out today. This is my forst gotvapes purchase and ive never tried the phoenix bottom coils before, so i have no frame of reference there. I purchased 1 smoky 3.5ml and 5 replacement cartos.
Ive driven approximately 5ml through mine so far and luckily its working great!
My observations:
All cartos are hollow.
I filled half way upon first use and accidentally flooded the tube, took about 6 drags before the flood was clear.
I did not take any "prime" drags initially without hitting the button. Not sure why, probably cause i flooded it.
The slots on the carto aren't perfectly lined up, about half the slot is covered.
When i take a drag i do see the air bubbles coming up into the tank from the carto slots, just as they do with polyfill carto tanks.
Every few drags i am taking one "primer" drag without hitting the button and i do see the air bubbles coming from the slots.
I am using a regular ego and a ego twist (tried 3.0 up to 4.0v)
I am using flux nectar pyramid fusion juice.
I have literally not had a dry hit yet.

I do want to say that this is my first order from GV and i am impressed. Thank you danno for keeping communications open with us during this debacle, thats truly good customer service in my opinion.
