The "should I get GP Lux or Paps v2.5 SS" irony!

Peeps, Let me set it straight once for all. There's absolutely no gr8 noticeable difference between the GP Lux & Paps v2.5 SS! They both vape equally good.

They both are unique, have different hues, feel & look nice - b'coz of both being 2-tone by virtue of the contrasting body and their end caps. And they both are quality products, offering exceptional value. We can't go wrong with either of them, they both are that good... I have both - and love them both equally!

The only difference u get with the GP Lux is a little better conductivity, which is NOT NOTICEABLE under normal usage; and unless u r deep into numbers and sub-ohm coils. The ideal & usual way to look at it is the fact that they look different (to each other) and thus, we might want to purchase both... for the kick factor! And thus, like to -have- possess two gr8 hi-end mods at a close price to any one "similar" mod from elsewhere.

As kiba correctly opined, "the only real difference is that you wont have to clean your contacts for a while" with the Lux. However, that comes with a slightly raised price-tag, which u may or may not have to go for. Besides, if u r not into 'patina' then the Paps v2.5 SS is definitely a better option... b'coz it'd look as gr8 forever as it was on day-1 w/out any extra efforts!

As I have mentioned with all of the PAPS line. Under normal conditions the average to high end user will not notice a difference if they were blindfolded for a test. There becomes a point where any drop decrease/conductivity increase will be undetectable. I think this is why GP does not have to sell or market their devices based on numbers that are much meaningless to to a wide array of owners and followers(and its big).
GP sells their products with all factors considered such as conductivity, percision machining, looks(pure art) and quality.
I dont even look for differences from my original tubes, switches, caps and surly not between the LUX edition and the new SS edition. I'm not sure its detectable to the naked vape.
The evolution has been much fun to watch. I still have all of my tubes in rotation(and I have many). I have none that I prefer over another. There are a couple that I have worked on, the LUX and the new SS that I like to go out with when the time is right but, I also have my PAPS workhorses that I use when I am in the shop.
I like many have certain GP for certain times!

Oh, and I will admit I occaisionally hit .08-1. ohms on dual coil attys but not often and I know how to be safe. I still am not sure I can tell a conductivity change of minimal perportion.

Q! In comparing mine there is absolutley no difference. I suspect they are the exact same cap that goes straight to polishing. It just doesnt get channels machined in them.

I will say this. I had to order more of them because they are gorgeous. A few of us waited for them for a while and it was worth every second. I ordered more the last order. Make sure when you do order them they are placed with a proper atty or there will be no airflow.

hope everyone is great today. Another hot day in Idaho. But how can you beat living here?

My back yard

Just down the road from my house is our base jumping bridge.

totally off topic, but i would kill to have free access to space like that. last year, my almost fulltime obsession was precision rifle, but i couldn't get deep enough into that art without access to 1k yard ranges. the longest without having to drive 2hr+ was 200yds, and at that range, you can subMOA with a heavy barrel .223. :|

I shot and will again shoot often and have a few builds myself. I was injured badly a while back and still in rehabilitation but have only been out to spot for a few buddies.
We drive 5 minutes into the desert and have ranges anywhere. We have to often watch for range cows but its never an issue. The foot hills of the mountains are great as there is less wind to manage.

My latest build will include the Larue OBR/Predat(if I can get one) barrel that will test my positional shooting, well anyones as it will be a heavy build.
I couldnt deal with the land of granola laws in Cali. Otherwise I love it there!

The more I thought about it, the more I realized that a RSST on top of a paps lux just wasn't going to do it justice. So I made a deal with the wife and ordered a kayfun lite today. All I can say is its all Qorax's fault.

Good for you and wife! You will love the look and feels solid. It should look somewhat like this.

Fellow with his priorities straight - it came down to a Larue PredatAR 5.56 or Les Baer Super Varminter for me. Went with the Baer because Crazy John (in your neck of the woods, if i remember correctly) got me a deal. Of course, I still went with Larue for optic mounts.

Kalifornia definitely has it's downsides, but at least it's not yet *illegal* to own something more powerful than .22LR; San Francisco is a whole new case of crazy - i can't even legal own my slingshot here.

What's really interesting to me is that the same drive to run the best-of-the-best drew me to GP, Atmomixani, etc. And god it's cheaper than shooting. I've spent more on powder, primers and projectiles last year than i have on all my high-end vaping kit put together.
