OK .. I'll be honest and say I'm not a fan of the locking nuts on Spheroid which seem to love to come loose with any movement on the coil/wick. Any suggestions? Hex nut replacement? Size?

Battery maybe? I am hell bent on using .30 if I HAD to pick. Can you photo the coil?

We made screws for the lovers of the screwdriver, in a few days we shall have them as spare kit. Personally I love the finger nuts, but we have many requests for screws, mainly from Northern Europe. There is a difference in the throat hit, a bit more intense, depending on the wick's placement though.
They are in production now, the moment they are ready, I'll post photos, possibly next week.
The GP Spheroid will continue to be sold with thumb nuts, but we shall have them included as alternate method and they will be available as replacement set also.
Yes, they should be able to do it. Too much silver on the post. Work the threads back and forth a bit, don't afraid to break them, if something happens, no worries, I'll send you a new post ASAP.
All the springs get a little softer after one day of use.

We are about one and a half month before the new GP Piccolo comes out and a LUX edition is in the works.
Interesting P. The nuts are also perfect for me, I love the fact that I can use one less tool for assembly. We made screws for the lovers of the screwdriver, in a few days we shall have them as spare kit. I might as well just sign over my paycheck to Perseas - got my first Paps 3 weeks ago, a Lux...then the 18500/18650 tubes along with a flat top cap...got a 2.1 coming in a trade...the new X on Oct 7 (fingers crossed!)....and now I hear of the new Piccolo!
Going broke here I am....but am very happy nonetheless.![]()

After trying out the Spheroid for a while, there's something about the taste that I don't like (sort of like an aftertaste), and since I have used the same liquid and even the same exact wick swapped directly from an Ithaka, I believe it may have something to do with the stock filler material, which for the record, I did boil and even tried leaving in vodka, but it made no difference. Has any body else encountered said problem, and if so, what's the solution?
PS - What's this about a new Lux edition that Perseas mentioned - is it an improved / similar version of the current one or something entirely different?
