So I've had my Spheroid for a few days and I've torn it down and rebuilt it a few times now trying different setups. I think this is my favourite so far.

Agree on the cotton. What's the diameter of your coil?
I've ran cotton ball wick in my wife's Spheroid, but it wouldn't hold its form after a day or so. I have some cotton yarn that I'm eager to throw in there.
Yeah I didn't think a cotton ball would work either, that is def my wick of choice these days too.
As for the diameter, it's about 3mm. I wrap most of stuff on the ends of the small screwdrivers in my vaping kit. Normally I like them more like 2mm or less but I wanted the coil to fit just perfectly over the airflow hole and just between the posts. It probably could be a tiny bit smaller but no bigger as you can see.

Since you turned me on to the cotton yarn, I've tried it in everything. I've had a 1 ohm micro (using the yarn) in my Spheroid for four days, lots of fills and it's still going strong.
For those of you running Sophia in SnP, do you have both red o-rings on the top? I tried with two and found it to be too tight so I removed one and run with just one red o-ring on the top channel.
I run cotton ball in one of my Spheroid without issue ... about 1.5mm micro coil. Whenever I open it, I just reshape it. I run the wick long enough to make a loop where it touches the filler material.

all this talk of successfully running cotton in the spheroid is definitely making me want to rewick! i love cotton flavor and vapor; nothing compares, imo.
i do run both reds in the tops of my SnPs, and the sophia caps turn smoothly. the caveat is that i've been running my divers in there for months, and even with the carto tool, the lip would shave the o-rings just a touch when they were freshly inserted.
Once my Sophia reaches me, I will gladly report back.
I, too, always shave a hair off the red o-rings with insertion of the Diver. It has me curios if the red ones will grip the Sophia base enough to allow opening of the channels.
I'll be putting my Sofia in bottom first to avoid that , it's slightly rounded on the bottom edge.

Thank you to Xtreme, after all this time and wicks I now run Lily Sugar n Cream in all Spheroids. In fact, the original that I was giving updates lasted almost 3 weeks. I found the fluff contact pulled many cotton hairs out. Although cotton is not as structurally sound as my Eko or silica, I am moving completely away from all medium except cotton.
If you are looking for good cotton balls check out Walgreen organic. I still use a bit of cotton from pharmaceutical companies as well.

Great cotton loop. This allows me to have maximum fluff/cotton contact as the cotton spreads and flattens onto each side of the air tube onto juicy fluff.
