No I held on to the tube with rubber gloves. Created an iron grip. I've tried so hard that I've literally bent the fork. I am not a weak dude. I say that because I can create a lot of force.

I bent my fork, too. Try the needle nose. Don't forget to turn clockwise, as it's reverse threaded.

Did you bite the posts with a pair of needle nose pliers while turning the base clockwise with the GP fork?
I tried that before the vise... i knew they were sacrificial 'cause I had the V3 post... they bent right over. Don't try to use the posts as leverage unless you have spares. Also I tweaked a fork. If you have a sacrifical atty base (or use great caution) screw it into Spheroids 510, makes a great handle. Screwing it on is the same direction you need to dismantle the Spheroid.

The needle nose wasn't necessary as the rubber gloves locked on the spheroid tube and there was 0 movement as I tried clockwise to open the bottom. The only problem was the fork eventually kept popping out of the holes and of course scratching the bottom. So much for having a resale option for my new Spheroid.

Use the needle nose instead of the fork...

I don't have a needle nose unfortunately. Really don't want to buy one just to try to fix this product. Perhaps I could send it back, and get one that opens.

Stick around Jonny, Perseas is bound to chime in with a solution for you. I've yet to see a wrong that he hasn't made right.

Yeah, I know how you feel, but you'll use them on many other things, not just this atty. I can't think of a suitable substitute for the needle nose that wouldn't be dangerous.

Hmm, on returning today it was nice to find many new GP owners here - in our FB group (Canadian Vapers) who finally succumbed to my regular brouhaha ;) ~ glorifying the Lux, Paps, Spheroids etc.

Alas, I'll have a nice Team-GP following here, in my home turf, too. Somethings for a better vape tête-à-tête... to share our mutual love and respect of/for this amazing line of products. And at least some more folks to talk to on common grounds!
