Delayed until the 7th apparently. I too am holding out on other atties. Must say, the hype on the Spheroids is well deserved. Been trying to get the wife into a rebuildable and this is the first one she has taken to. She liked the kayfuns but complained of them being to heavy, lol.

So... the piccolo/sphero will be her setup if I can get her to make the switch to mechs.

Question for the Piccolo owners out there, how long will the 14500 batts last? Yes, I realize the scope of the question, so let's put it in terms of juice consumption. Will the battery last all day (for her, about 3ml of juice)?

A 14500 battery is typically alike an 18350. Same performance - same lifespan - same energy ;)

Digi, I think I got the Taifun down to a science. No leaks, dry hits or issue.
Micro Coil with 2 strands of Sugar n Crean doubled over(could of just used 1 piece without seperating as 1 piece is 4 strands) and 1 strand laid on top(for kicks, I will remove it next wick).
Wick cut at 3 mm on the sides.
With 90/10 vg/pg it is awesome and wicking like a champ with no issue.

On a side note - I finally went higher ohm on my micro coils. 9/10 wrap of 30k on 1/16 at 2.2 - 2.3 ohm. I have not built a coil in a year over 1.6 tops ohm.
Impressed with the flavor and the vapor production with 90/10 juice.

Grats bro! I find it to be a good vape once set up right. Been spending some real quality time w/ it mounted on the X for days now.

Landman, you might also look into the Microstick as an option for your wife. I have one on pre-order, and it should ship any day...my Spheroid (which I love) will go on it.

In know Perseas has one, too...

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the forum!

Every mod will fire in the pockets or on errands if stashed unlocked. We need a bit of deliberation here. The v2.5 switch is an amazing design and can be 'tad' stiffened with one of the springs which comes along. However, this was designed to be 'touch type'... as such there's a trade-off between this version and its previous iteration.

Ensuring that the bottom nut remains well tightened always gets the mod a better throw, but here we are indeed talking about micro-tolerances. Unfortunately, nothing better can be done / is available AFAIK.

Qorax (and Dubbyah),

Thanks for the info / encouragement. And yes, of course all mods should be locked before you pocket them. Thing is, I am a forgetful s*b, and with the paps, it only takes one time and your pants are on fire -- and not in the good way. My k100 (which is of course, not even in the same league as the paps in any other way) has been pocketed several times before without being locked, and that stiff spring saved my backside.

So, the paps remains a special occasion device for me -- and like I said, I love it! Thanks so much for trying to help me out. :)

Steve.

I never leave home with my GP gear. Special Occasion devices only, or chillin on the couch. With the exception that I took my X with me to work once.

Of course, if I want to show up some locals @ the vape spot, I'll take my GP gear in and watch the drool slowly puddle at the corners of their gaping pie holes ;)

Have you seen the 500 battery extension for these? Awesomeness. The leather case is going to be pretty spiffy as well.

Check out the vids on the page bottom of the production.

Is it me or when a device is cleaned it seems to hit better? I dont mean cleaned for the first time on 8 months but say for a few weeks.
I decided to to throw the disassembled X switch in the uc and it just feels better and pops and snaps the juice. I know the conductivity wasnt drastically improved but the vape just seems better...I really need a hobby.

Interesting. I clean my devices every other week depending on use. I never add anything to my threads or switches. I just disassemble everything, luke warm water and mild soap, reassemble and done. Flawless performance.

So question, do you take apart the entire switch? Locking run from its housing? Spring? Everything?

Yep I do and it had quit sticking for a bit but now it's started doing it again but it seems if i don't spin the lock ring all the way unlocked it doesn't do it

My problem with the steel "window" would be - how can you see how much liquid is filled up? How do you know?

For me, I used my Kayfun to run this test:

Filled my Kayfun with the clear middle window installed.
Removed the liquid (using a measured syringe )
Marked the syringe where the liquid max'd out

Obviously there will be some variances, but not much. Just need to know what the atty holds in juice. When vapid my Jayfuns, I know exactly what I cape per day, and wha the atty will hold altogether.

Yep...I decided not to go with an extension, as I really wanted the stealth aspect. I have other mods if I need that longer battery life. The leather case is beautiful, especially that camel colored one. But again, would make it hard to get out of a pocket.

How different are we! I never leave home without a GP gear ;) A Piccolo and Ba Gua or a LUX or "X" is always with me while outdoors!
